What are some of the hottest/coldest games you've been to?
I have a few. The 2008 ECU game in Charlotte was very hot. Just a sea of humidity. The 2008 home against Duke was definitely one of the coldest I've been to. Some more recent ones I can think of would be the 2017 game at ECU, and the UVA game at home in 2024.

Thick as a Brick. 2007, second game of the year. We started at 10:30am for a 7 pm game. Had to take a nap in the air conditioned van for about an hour. The visitors side doesn’t have a concourse close to your seat. Had to walk up about 50 rows, “I thought 💭 I was going to die ( in my Best Rosanna Rosanna Dana voice). 2 day hangover and my head almost exploded on the flight back to Richmond!!!
I don’t know how the players played in that game. But it was the unveiling of Tyron Taylor. If not for that blowout, we might have made the Championship game again.

Darn cold. But a great memory. Might have been a colder game I went to. But it’s in my memory as a cold one. It is the one and only game my mother came to. She never came back due to the cold. It snowed off and on. His record for INT return yards might still stand.

I can't remember the year. but the most miserable overall was BC on October 25, 2007. It poured rain then got colder then we lost in one of the most heart breaking losses in Tech history.

08 ECU-Charlotte got weird. But, the Orange Bowl in Miami against Kansas was the coldest I've ever been for a football game. Here is why. 57 degrees at kickoff which was flirting with record breaking low temperatures in Miami area for that day, but there were 20 to 25 mph winds, so it was feeling far colder than 57 and here's the catch, 8 out of 10 people in the stadium underprepared. Try to find a Warm Coat or Tobaggan and Gloves in Miami in under 1 hour. It was worse than Charlotte for me.

At the Cincy game I was an MV and marched on the field. I ended up getting frostbite in two fingers and it took about 3 hours after the game to regain feeling. :-)

At Duke..not sure about the year(15 yrs ago?)..really hot & no shade! The ECU game in Charlotte was HOT!
Coldest games at Lane VMI(1977 & 1981) ECU 1996 snow was chilly!!

Used to store wine. The rubber interior leeched into the vodka. After the first 2 cokes which exhausted our money, we mixed with water my roommate grabbed off the VT sideline, which we thought would be Gatorade. It was abhorrent!!! But at the end of the game when VMI stormed the field in celebration my roommate jumped over the wall and threw VMI #7 practice ball 🏈 to me in the stands.
We ended up selling our bag of herbal remedy for $30 to get gas money back to Richmond.
Pretty miserable experience overall.

I had fun. Was soaked before kickoff and just went with it. Set with Texas A&Ms All American Jaxon Appel's brother and tailgates with Appel's parents and friends pregrame and they supplied me with Texas Brisket BBQ and Lone Star Beer. Great time and great people.

Sliding down chicken hill on their backs in torrential mud/water flows as if they had resigned themselves that this was the end... Entire families one by one slid by wondering where they were going to end up amidst the chaos... It was beautiful.

It just caught me by surprise. It was mid October for one, i think, so it was never going to be brutal. But it turned windy and snowy real quick. While temps back home in central va were close to 70. I bought earmuffs in the stadium. The loss to mediocre Cuse was a double whamny.

was the 1987 HS playoff game between Gate City and Radford. Radford won 3-2. GC’s punter had a 67 yard punt and a 2 yard punt in the same game.

I had pulled an all- nighter freshman year and went with family to the game. Radford back who went to Bill &Larry ran all over us. I fell asleep in parking lot on the way home.

Al Groh elected to kick off to VT to begin the game and also at the beginning of the second half because of the wind.
Funny thing, Randall didn’t have that much trouble passing in that game.

Temperature-wise, the coldest to me probably won't rate as one of the coldest on record. But Cuse in '01 was awful. Mostly because it had been nice and warm all week. I was completely unprepared for that one.

Hotest : ECU in Charlotte (a sucky result(). Vanderbilt loss in Nash Vegas (another sucky result). Stanford win seemed like 120 Degrees in the laser sun.

I remember warming my hands by the grill, copious amounts of brown water, and ruining leather gloves on said grill and from eating a smoked turkey leg like a caveman. Losing the game didn't help either.

Heat-- I was at that Charlotte game...
NashVegas '24 was worse-- OT was essentially a stew.
Cold??? a lot to choose from but Pitt night game '02 was brutal.
