He got an injunction to play and a LA judge overruled the ncaa’s attempt to overturn the injunction just before the game, so he got to play. Let’s say he bets ON HIS TEAM. They keep losing, gets in debt $60k. The next game HE DOESN’T bet on he could be influenced to shave points intentionally to pay off his debt. And while he didn't play at any games of influence at Indiana, he did have influence at Cinncinnati and now at TT, and perhaps if he makes it to the pros. What if he has racked up significant debt already? HE BET over $90K? Do you trust that he's not "under the influence" (i.e. on the losers side of the ledger)?

If u r a college player ANYWHERE, and u bet on an un related sport, and u get in debt to your bookie, he can promise to erase your debt on NBA, NFL, Kentucky Derby, and NHL for throwing a game where YOU AND YOUR TEAM are favorites if you just shave points by throwing an INT when you are up by 39 against WMU and the spread is 42. How do we KNOW??? He misses the final 3 pointer in a basketball game where you are up 10, but the spread is 11. How do we KNOW whether it was a legitimate miss, or intentional??? Thick as a Brick. 2007, second game of the year. We started at 10:30am for a 7 pm game. Had to take a nap in the air conditioned van for about an hour. The visitors side doesn’t have a concourse close to your seat. Had to walk up about 50 rows, “I thought 💭 I was going to die ( in my Best Rosanna Rosanna Dana voice). 2 day hangover and my head almost exploded on the flight back to Richmond!!! I don’t know how the players played in that game. But it was the unveiling of Tyron Taylor. If not for that blowout, we might have made the Championship game again.

After the first 2 cokes which exhausted our money, we mixed with water my roommate grabbed off the VT sideline, which we thought would be Gatorade. It was abhorrent!!! But at the end of the game when VMI stormed the field in celebration my roommate jumped over the wall and threw VMI #7 practice ball 🏈 to me in the stands.
