VT was down in the dumps, FSU and Clemson were fading, only Miami was on the rise.

UNC football. I really do. But I can't seem to get over the years like 2022 when the heels took the #1, #3, #4, #6 and #8 players in Virginia. What sickness could have made all of those Virginians pick UNC over many top-rated programs (and Tech) and, could their spell be somehow cast again?! I've been to Chapel Hill. I've seen VT beat their best teams. What the???

I agree those players were probably wasted playing for UNC.
I remember someone posting that at least one UNC coach was spending more time talking to recruits in the stands during a game than actually coaching his players on the field.
Glad recruits are finally taking notice.

I always did. Even from my freshmen year of college, I can't stand UNC. I remember many times my buddies would ask" sure, we can't stand em either but of course we all hate UVaa more." My answer was no. Unpopular then and unpopular now. Make no mistake, I cant stand the whiney ass French, but Im serious, UNC leaves a bad taste in my mouth worse than any school in America.

$$$ to piss away. FSU has seemingly realized they have structural problems. UNC still thinks they are 1 hire away from Championships in football and basketball but still has little alignment between the BOV, alumni and the athletic dept UNC is worse IMO

Yesterday UNC got Shavezz Dixon OL 87 3*, which the floundering UVa recruit class needed in the worst way.
BUT, UNC’s already less than stellar recruiting class gave up Chuck Roberts to also sub par Maryland recruiting class.
In all, that ‘kiting' move among less than stellar programs raised Maryland to the 46th ranked 2027 class while UNC drops to 64th and behind UVa at 57th.
I only hope the beggars steal among themselves and leave Myles McAfee to VT (MD is the competition and Myles is from MD and is close to Malik Washington QB).
Belichek and Locksley were wonder recruiters only a year ago, how far they have fallen. TE is still TE.

lineman that U.Va wanted but otherwise they're not doing too great. By the way, Bryce Baker, the UNC QB who transferred to us 6 months ago was the Tarholes' number 1 recruit, per 247 sports in the '25 class.
