Posting History (484)

If you want a positively gorgeous post, click on Christine Shepard post ^^

Wow, great ad, makes me want to sell my house and move to Richmond to buy a house

I like all the new players, but disappointed we lost Baker now that we

finally have more post players because I think with this team she would've stayed outside and thrived. We'll miss Mackie's D (steals & taking charges) but I'm hoping Suffren has a breakout season for VT

This isn't the time to try to dictate to a new AD, new admin, or new HC

how fan experience needs to go...let our new leaders focus on winning games and raising revenue - which are the two most important things that will bring excellence back to football team and VT fan experience will come along with it

I have a question - I know we have brand new AD, but do you know if some of

the behind scenes office work being done will result in VT getting even more fans into the seats this season? I know we have great fans for women's bball, but I feel like even more students and fans should be packing Cassell on every women's home game, starting with first game.

well, the reason is obvious - no smiles at UNC, suddenly all smiles at Mich

look at her frowning in her unc pic vs happy in Mich pic, lol ** Edited by Scream_On_D at 6/22/2026, 11:48:33 AM

not thanking fans was bad, but for me it was that he "ruined" Amoore as a

Hokie fan favorite, and that he took Strack and also took Hassett, Blue, and Silva. We would have all enjoyed watching them play for VT, especially Strack. And Amoore had no business wearing another school's uniform. Kenny should have let her stay. His selfishness ruined her chance to be a life-long Hokie fan-favorite. He essentially stole her jersey from the VT rafters. She's now soured on VT for what - one wasted year at KY (just to help Kenny succeed in his new job. Ridiculous.

^This. I was so pumped last year but then other ACC teams also improved

and since $$$$ is the primary determining factor in W-L, "excitement tempered" it is ** Edited by Scream_On_D at 6/4/2026, 12:39:39 PM

uncomfortable? that game was so awesome; cold & wet yes, but great win!

screaming on D in horizontal rain was so much fun, the A&M fans and players had never seen anything like our fans before, and they said that after the game

talent, talent, and then more talent...will generally win more when playing

against lesser talent, regardless of play calling, which becomes more important when playing teams that have equal or more talent, but overall I'd take talent over playcalling every time.

Well...VT's record is 22-3 in last 25 games over UVA. Just because hoos

won last year doesn't mean that we have to forget the last 25 years of beating them senseless. VT will continue to beat the crap out of hoos every year in football for as long as the game is played

not really, it's been a long time since Cowboys fans have thought it was

their year. As long JJ is still making decisions (like his ridiculous trade of Parsons last year), they'll never get close to Super Bowl contention and their fans know it.

ever? CJF already has; had higher classes than UM &FSU in 2022, 2020, 2019,

and 2018, and higher than FSU in 2023 and 2021, and higher than UM in 2016 and 2015. He ABSOLUTELY can and I predict will certainly have classes higher ranked than UM & FSU during his tenure at VT. His recruiting is elite and his recruiting ranking trajectory when taking over new programs in incredible. Go VT! And UNC sucks in football, always has and always will, and Klemson fball is on a downward trajectory...

wow, you don't know anyone at your job that left for a higher paying job?

or you've never switched jobs for more pay or a different situation? who are you? definitely not a "moderate" Hokie? You need to realize that college athletes are employees and they are now (and should have always been) paid for their work, just as you get paid for the work you do, and they also are allowed to look for different jobs with different employers for higher pay or different work situations - so what's your problem? It certainly sucks that VT can't make a better counteroffer to keep Neo at VT, but since we can't, I'm certainly happy that Neo can make as much money as possible because he's obviously worked hard to put himself in the position to utilize his talents at a job that he loves, and he represented VT well when he played here. Doesn't mean I'll root for him or UNC though next year, but I do hope he makes it to NBA sooner rather than later

it shouldn't bother you that someone in this country gets paid for the work

they perform or services/value they provide to others for their work. That's the American Dream right. Paid college athletes should definitely be getting paid for their work (because they are working), but the system is and has been broken for decades and not sure if anyone in charge (or those making the really big bucks) care to change it for the better

Love your posts here, but I think you missed original posters main issue

it's the fact international students are gaming the visa system, and yes also the entire system is insanely corrupt; college athletes are employees and they should get paid, then pay taxes, yada yada

Agree, I've never been fan of the "just let them play" line, much prefer to

watch elite players demonstrate elite bball skills cleanly without constant fouling on every play, but crazy why they ended up calling fouls against UConn but not MI, pretty ridiculous disparity

Nice!

good replies. I agree Franklin said he's primary focusing on Offense and

trusting Pry on D. I'd still like TSL/Andy to have this question in his back pocket should evidence of poor LB play arise in the future, because IMO most of VT's "best LBs" stayed in their one position once it was identified

Definitely VT should follow SEC/Big10 model - schedule all easy OOC games!

VT (and ACC in general) should NEVER schedule OOC games against SEC or Big10. It only helps those conferences. VT should also schedule more home games than neutral site games. VT and ACC lose against SEC/Big10 and then don't get ranked early in seasons and sometimes miss bowl games when they shouldn't. Side note, VT never should have been playing ODU as it only helped their program. Horrible decisions with OOC scheduling by VT over the last decade... I'd prefer to start every season 4-0 and ranked!!! Gives time for new players to learn system, gain confidence, play backups, build depth - it makes ZERO sense to start the year against an SEC school - just stupid as h#!!

Will/Andy - Can TSL please ask Franklin about this issue?? I would love to

hear what Franklin has to say about the "issue of letting a player learn and master a position" before/during the season rather than having everyone on the team learn/play multiple positions. This was obviously a problem with Pry and VT LBs the last few years. It sometimes has been a problem at OL and in secondary as well in past years. Again, would love to hear what Franklin thinks overall about players mastering their positions - AND THEN a follow-up question could be specifically about Pry and LBs.

VT should have played in NIT. 19-13 was not a bad season. Not ideal, but it

was an improvement over previous season and playing in NIT would have given VT a chance to win more games. I have no idea how it happened, or why VT did not play in NIT. I don't care about any excuses (player injuries, player opt outs, player votes - it's all total BS!). If VT had 5 healthy bball players on the team, then we should have played in NIT - no matter what. The most pathetic thing Justin Fuente ever did was opt out of bowl game and I wanted him fired immediately after that happened. If CMY let this happen then he should retire and we start over. If Whit is to blame, then ditto. If VT really let the players decide which I've read on here, then both CMY and Whit should be gone. As a former coach, it is absolutely INEXCUSABLE to ever turn down a chance to continue your sports season - only quitters quit. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it! I imagine that it's also most likely why Gurdak is leaving (why in the world would he want to play for a school that quits on a season - just pathetic!!) Ut Prosim includes those VT athletes that wear the VT uniform serving the VT community, students, and fans that have supported the VT team during the season/year(s)!!! It's just inexcusable to ever quit on a season!! I'm bummed we didn't more games, but honestly shocked that we ended up as quitters.
