I still can't believe the Duke meltdown and the UConn D + 3pt shot
That has to be one of the craziest finishes in awhile.....reminded me of 1992 except it wasn't Duke CL hitting the amazing shot off the amazing inbound pass. That UK/Duke game is still one of the best games I have ever watched. Couldn't stand either team but wanted UK to win....ironically after predicting and loving the Duke upset of UNLV. Fun times to watch basketball

hard to understand how uCon didn't get something called on them when the kid hit the shot.
There were several players and staff that ran onto the court and now I see that Hurley really did have some contact with the ref.
I get a call there would be tragic, but you have to think the refs are going to look at that in the off-season and reset their approach on bench control.
Look for VT and/or some small basketball school to be made an example of early next season.

so nobody would have been interfering with on court play. Not sure about Hurley running into the ref. I guess given the situation the ref just let it go. Given that Duke was the aggrieved party I am OK with what happened.

asked about the contact. That was a very weird looking interaction, but apparently not enough for anyone to worry about.
You're also right about the clock. It was a dead ball at that point, and they needed to check the replay. I'm not sure Duke didn't call a timeout anyway.

Hurley seems weird as heck, so it fits.

And with all the noise Hurley leaned in to hear.
Huge nothing burger.
