It is my belief the players got us there more than the coach got us there.
After watching his coaching I believe the players got us there in spite of the coach. My opinion was the same from the beginning. I refer you to the home game against FSU where he blew a 4th quarter lead because he did not know how to beat their press. About 5 consecutive turnovers in less than a minute in the back court followed by layups and the lead was gone. Recruiter - yes Coach - no If you think he was a good coach, fine, we just disagree.

Rather sad actually. When the locals in Brazil found out it was uva and
that uva didn't attend their own home games they asked why go if even uva won't go.

I am old, therefore I am old school. I like to see players (people in
general) conduct themselves with some class. The younger generation does not understand class so they act like aholes (some of that generation occasionally sit in front of me at Lane Stadium). I don't watch Gunsmoke reruns but that may be more enjoyable. I used to watch ALL professional sports, now I watch NONE of them.
The good thing about VT softball is that they do show class when they make a good play. They are more team oriented, after all it is a team sport. Hopefully that will continue, and if it doesn't I will have to decide if I want to continue.

I don't really like rooting for the SEC but Texas Tech's blatant attempt
to buy the championship should not be rewarded. I guess the road to the championship these days goes through the checkbook and that is the reason I root against the Yankees too, but it just doesn't seem right.

Exactly. There were 3 ground balls hit where the infielder would have
been playing had they not put on that shift, resulting in 3 hits and it cost at least 5 runs.

When I hear her name I remember her making a great play at the plate to
tag out a runner then in the bottom of the same inning she hit one over the fence. She didn't get to play a lot, but her parents were always on the top row, and that inning had to make it all worth while for them. Congrats to her.

With the condition of the education system in this country today putting

There is an article in this morning's Roanoke Rag about a uva football
player getting a 7th year. Could the NCAA or Judge Turk remind me again why Bre Warren is not allowed to play? Could there possibly be 2 (or more) sets of rules?
How does the NCAA go into court with a straight face? And how does a judge accept anything they say?

Can't agree more, she has been fantastic both offensively and
defensively. Has one of the highest batting averages on the team and maybe the highest on base percentage. And after she hits second base with that double she acts classy like she expected it, not like a jerk pointing and screaming as if to say "look at me". She has become one of my all time favorites. Not enough good things can happen for her.
