He Should Speak With Chip
Probably wont happen, but he (and we fans) would do well to speak to the unofficial leader of VT SB. Some ideas have been put forth over the years that have been largely ignored by WB. Nobody knows our program better than Chip.
Tech has had consistently good teams fora long while, with good fan support. BUT, a shot of attention and money may move us up the ranks even more.

You underestimate the overall improvement in this team, and it will get better as the season progresses. Need to stay healthy as not deep

Past Performance Does NOT Predict Future Success
WE will NOT repeat that disaster from last year. To me, I still wonder why the team quit on Brent in that game. Hope to never see that again.

Sportsbooks Have VT Win Total At 6.5 for This Season...Seems Low
Then again, I am an optimistic Hokie Fan.

TT is a Pro Team, UT is semi-pro
The days of amateur softball, or any major college sport for that matter, are long gone. TT made no bones about simply going out and buying a winning program.....and, they succeeded, even with a mediocre coach. We are looking at the future.
Not sure VT can run in this race. We can scrape up $100k poppin' it, while they can pay one player a million bucks.
Maybe the new AD at Tech will have more interest in SB than the present guy. ??

Hotest : ECU in Charlotte (a sucky result(). Vanderbilt loss in Nash Vegas (another sucky result). Stanford win seemed like 120 Degrees in the laser sun.

Better Known Team Bias....FSU > VT.....Goes Their Way
This has always been the case for generally lesser-known under dog programs like Tech. They do NOT get the benefit of calls by umps or refs. There are myriad examples in our sports history. FSU was clearly getting the more favorable strike zone calls yesterday, but that is expected. Human bias towards the better known program, happens all the time.
And yes, Danny Coale caught that f-ing pass. And, the 100 year old ref from the PAC-12 that rules he did not, knew Michigan and not VT.....subliminal bias towards the well-known program.

Reflection from Yesterday.....We had a blessed day at HOME
Things could have very easily taken a very bad turn, but luckily for all concerned, it was a good day in the end. Our local responders were brave and quick on the scene and saved the day. Bravo.

Neo & Money Questions
I thought he was definitely going pro, somewhere maybe Europe? Although we all pretty much saw that he was no way ready for that, and maybe never. Still, he has some unique skills, defense not one of them. Still wish the kid was a Hokie though.
Now, he is going to UNC instead, for a reported $4M.....??
And, VT's total budget for people is ~$5M in total. How do we ever compete with this? One guy would eat up 80% of our total budget, yet UNC with a new coach, just has money to burn?
Are we this deficient in this money ball game?

Our erector-set "stadium" is well-situated
I know it is the ultimate in cheap, but we have a really nice field, in a great location, with great fans. On a warm spring early evening, its kind of perfect.

Our 2 Top Programs, Softball & Wrestling, Seem to Get Zero AD Help
I find that an interesting coincidence, or maybe not? The AD almost seems to care very little for these highly successful VT programs. For example, the idea of charging a nominal fee to watch softball, and using those funds to upgrade things, is repeatedly shot down based on faulty logic (bad math really). I just don't get it....somebody educate me.

The kid has some remarkable talent like passing, but lacks speed & strength, which may come yet at this next stop. He is still a "kid" really. A lot of the time he was fun to watch. Definitely not a closer, but that may come in time.

What Happened to the $75M Cassell Renovation Plan from FY 2021 ?
I doubt they have the money right now, but I recall seeing drawings for a Cassell upgrade from maybe two years ago. BUT, have not heard a peep about it for a while. They looked pretty good, keeping the original innovative laminated wood trusses and mostly enclosing the buttresses.
IS this a dead issue? Personally, I would rather they use the money to buy talent for MBB, WBB, and FB, and defer the renovation, but it may be high time to do some upgrades.

This Team Has Improved As the Season Has Progressed
Tech is routinely smaller and less athletic than their top-level opponents like UNC. BUT, their defense and team chemistry has really made up for this. Tough loss, but proud to have this coach and team represent us. CMD will get the talent needed to compete going forward, so the future is bright. Show her the money and go build a top program.
