Sportsbooks Have VT Win Total At 6.5 for This Season...Seems Low
Then again, I am an optimistic Hokie Fan.
Would like to hear some message board feedback on this. I am thinking 8-4 maybe 9-3.
Thx

(A Miami replay official stole one from us in 2023 or 2024). Grr.
I will be pretty ecstatic, to escape the 3 to 6 regular season wins quicksand, we have been in since losing to a mouthy QB and Kenthuggy in that Bowl.
In other words, for 2026, 7 Wins would be freakin' awesome. I hope for more, but if we get to at least 7-5, I can see things getting better in 2027. 6-6 could be somewhat frustrating, and would make me remind myself, to give Franklin enough time.

We've added some nice pieces but this was still one of the worst P4 rosters in the country. Will take another year to fix it.

better. But that's after listening to a lot of hype from overeager VT fans. Six, seven or eight wins seems most likely. There's just too many unknowns and too much inexperience to have a lot of confidence in anything more. But any of those wins would be a nice improvement, and set us up well for the following season.

I ran them through several times, combined these numbers with the numbers crunched for all opponents.
The only team that provided a gray area is Miami.
The numbers with Miami are inconclusive on whether Miami will be Miami when we play them in their NFL stadium.
When I combine these numbers with the history showing that Miami will most likely continue being Miami, then I get that same
answer every single time.
VT regular season = 12 wins, and indeed, Miami will still continue being Miami.
GO HOKIES!!!

I hope I'm wrong but 8 or 9 wins is a big stretch.

Two years ago and last year Vegas also installed us at 6.5 wins. I, like many, said no freaking way we would fail to cover that bet. I don't wager season U/O's but I would have bet the Hokies the last 2 seasons. Hokies never covered either.
Once more I'll say it again, there's no way the Hokies don't cover this year's U/O. I feel that 7 wins is the floor.
Just my 2 cents.

If you win the bet, your profit will help ease the disappointment of your team losing. If you lose the bet, it's like you purchased joy. TIC

Although we did somehow manage to pull just about the hardest schedule we could have in the all charmin conference.
I think it all depends on the Pitt game. The timing is not ideal, probably sitting at 4-0 thinking we’re good, players feeling good, national attention starting to ramp up…and the storyline if we lose. I can see it now “James Franklin wouldn’t play Pitt when he was at PSU, now we know why!”. Cringing just thinking about it. I say 8 wins, 9 if we beat Pitt. Also the curse I feel this program has been under would be lifted in my eyes if we beat them.

If we start out 4-0 we finish with 8 wins, possibly 9.

We might be the toughest team on their schedule. If they were the toughest team on our schedule, we'd be looking at 8, or something close to it. I'm expecting/hoping 27 to be the real turnaround year for us, but they should win a lot of games this year just because of their schedule. That doesn't mean they are good.

If she is, they will win a lot of games again.
