Maybe we should all be driving Delorean's here in FL with flux capacitors installed and cables attached to our clock towers. Just get that old guy from the Great Outdoors to stand on the side walk next to the street and clock tower and harnass the strike to a Delorean.

I was excited when Fuente and Pry took over as well but just had the one ACC champ game appearance with Fuente and no appearances with Pry. I don't expect an ACC champ game appearance in year 1 with Franklin but I am optimistic that he can get us there in year 2 and even more so in year 3.

I am still in Orlando. Should we start a portal for user names?

I only drink when I watch VT football or Caps hockey

The players seem to really enjoy playing in Carolina, Nashville, Dallas, Las Vegas, Tampa, and Sunrise. Atlanta has had two chances in the past for it to work and it they don't deserve another chance. Makes me wonder if a team in Houston, Charlotte, Jacksonville, or Orlando would work as relocation spots for struggling franchises in the future. TX, TN, and FL have nice advantages being both income tax free and good weather. The only ding against NC is state income tax but Raleigh and Charlotte are attractive places for fans and players alike. The fans in Carolina, Nashville, Dallas, Las Vegas, Tampa, and Sunrise have all been great. It was not always great in Sunrise but it has gotten a lot better since they won the Stanley Cup.

Bought it about a year ago with 42,000 miles for $6000. Got it from a church friend who had to stop driving due to age. I am content with it. I don’t need a fancy car.

I am almost 55 and I still play basketball and dek hockey. The only thing keeping me going is weight training. I do like 8 sets legs and 7 sets arms. Only do it a couple times a week. It helps me recover from injuries. I hate doing dead lifts at my age but I swear it really helps correct muscle imbalances I might have. But every one is different. A physical therapist could probably help you more than a doctor could unless you are convinced there is something structurally injured. Good luck.

It’s frustrating.

The funny thing is I play in a street hockey league here in Lake Mary, FL and a couple of the guys are from Orchard Park or the Buffalo area and are great guys. Everyone I have ever met from the Buffalo area are really good people. By the way Happy Dog one of my daughters best friends the parents are from Erie, PA but they live in Amelia Island, FL now. Really nice people.

Dad was working at the Knickerbocker News in Albany and he got offered a job to cover the Bills for the Buffalo Courier Press in 1982. We even made it to training camp in Fredonia, NY and then in September the paper folded. A very nice lawyer in Buffalo, NY helped my parents get out of closing on a home in Orchard Park, NY and we stayed in our house in the Albany, NY area until Dad could land on his feet again. Two years later we ended up in Orlando, FL as Dad got a job with the Orlando Sentinel. I often think of what if it had worked out in Orchard Park, NY and we never made it to Orlando, FL.

UCF started in 1963 as a school to support NASA and now the place has 70,000 students. Talk about incredible growth in a short time.

* I mean to post this in the lounge. Sorry about that * He was born in DC and when he was a kid his dream was to be the beat reporter for a major league baseball team. He was in the Navy out of high school and by the age of 22 he was the beat reporter for the Washington Senators for the Washington Daily News. He got to be good friends with Ted Williams as a result of this. Later he would cover the expansion Washington Capitals from 1974 to 1981 for the Washington Star. He also covered the Washington Redskins when Vince Lombardi and George Allen were the coaches. And he covered the Washington Bullets when Gene Shue was the coach. He covered the Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, boxing you name it. But baseball was his first love. Dad was sitting next to Al Michaels in the press box in 1989 at Candlestick at the World Series when the earthquake hit. Dad stayed out there for the Orlando Sentinel and wrote Earthquake recovery stories for a week or so. I was a freshman at VT at the time. In the early 80's he worked at the Knickerbocker News in Albany, NY before we moved to Orlando and he wrote for the Sentinel. Baseball was his first love. He voted for the Hall of Fame for almost 50 years I think. He was a well respected baseball writer. I could go on and on with all kinds of interesting stories related to him being a sportswriter but I will save that for another day. He lived a charmed life and is survived by my Mom, older brother, and me as well as (3) grandchildren.
