All year has been Beards leader
He was brought in to run the show. Juju is okay but wasn’t getting it done.

Lack of $$$ is out of his hands. Unfortunately, today's game is dominated by cash available and the ability to jump from school to school if the player sees rainbows instead of hard work.

think about 4 solid players, bigs that are tough inside rebounders etc and other g/f who can really play defense with quick feet and long arms yet good enough to shoot and drive if a Pedulla draws double teams. If a coach had that it would be a much more attractive place for a Pedulla. I would bet that he looked closely and was not going to another place where he would have to do too much.

It’s literally a perfect fit. Props to him, seriously. Seems like he was actually under paid too…

Will the ncaa PSA ON GAMBLING is very appropriate for this game
Just because u stupidity wager wrong don’t take it out on players.🔥

Rumor was that some of the people taking their frustrations out on Sean
were gamblers

anyone telling you differently has an agenda. Our fanbase is 20% the size of many big programs - imagine what their players must edure - 5x this trauma. Or maybe their "fans" don't gamble. I'll save you the suspense - Alabama, Auburn, Tenn, Fla, Kansas, UCLA and Michigan St. will NOT be losing players this offseason due to harrasment from fan, and their fans are 10x worse than ours, and there are 5x more of them.

On-line death threats are awful, stupid, and come from ignorant idiots. Troubling & concerning? Of course. Should players in the social media age understand it is just annoying and comes with the territory, and the bigger the fanbase: the dumber the fanbase & the more crap like that you'll have to ignore.
I was more disappointed in so many fans on TSL disrespecting him.

Were they substantiated? Did law enforcement look into these? Did anyone get legally charged, banned from sporting events, etc.? I’m not saying they didn’t happen, because I know we live in a crazy world, but it’s hard for me to believe that a fan would be so stupid to do that, let alone for a player on a team that is mediocre at best.

to bed. With one criteria - it's on video and Will has to enumerate every poster that's posted about this, make them apologize and agree to never bring it up again. It obfuscates a lot of issues with our program and it's counterproductive. Did he get threats? Oh I'm sure. Was it material to almost everyone leaving the team last year, including Sean. You can bet your mortgage it wasn't. Yet I keep seeing it posted on here, as if to suggest the threats came from any adult on this message board. It's so divisive and pointless.

cluster, but the implication I read on here constantly about Pedulla leaving VT for the SEC due to our gambling fans is incredibly absurd. A typical SEC program these days likely has 5x the number gamblers that vt does. Perhaps they are the kinder, gentler folks who don't complain about their losses. Or possibly the difference is the salary. I don't doubt that Pedulla's camp indicated he was leaving due to vt fans....better narrative than "we are leaving for Ole Miss because they pay 4x what vt offered, and I'm taking the money"

Once Rice was gone he didn’t have a lot of help. Cattoor just wasn’t a 2nd PG.
our backcourt we were SUPPOSED to have is playing in the Sweet 16 for Ole Miss & Maryland

if a P4 team were looking for a coach in this cycle. In other words, would VT make the same choice years ago if the current environment existed at the time? Answer would be an emphatic No.. which basically tells us he is a lame duck coach at this time until we get a new AD.

Pedulla, Rice, Cattoor, Nickel and Kidd would've been a really good team...
Supplementing that with Collins, Beran and Poteat would also be good
But Rice leaving forced Collins into a role he wasn't equipped for, making his value much less in a role he wasn't designed to play. That had a chain reaction down the roster.
