Most Hokie teams that have really good seasons don't do much in the
postseason. Always tough being a Hokie fan. Hope softball can make a long playoff run when it gets to that time.

I think the staff had him hold back on committing to the public
to make for a great climax to the portal additions. Welcome, Ethan. Go Hokies.

He apparently has committed to the coaches
and VT. He just hasn't announced it publicly himself on Twitter or other social media.

The high school in Crozet, Va. is Western Albemarle High. Maybe Dutch Fork
was a high school that consolidated with other smaller high schools way back in the day.

Instead of a subjective committee, I say use some kind of formula similar
to the old BCS formula. Spit out the rankings and live with it. The only problem with the BCS was that it didn't have enough teams (2 not enough). Whoever the top 12 are make the playoffs.

This was Franklin's 12th season at PSU. So, he stayed 11 and a half years.
Who knows how long he would have stayed w/o getting fired. It worked out for Tech, though. At least initially. Who knows how many games we'll win or be a top 25 program again until he actually starts coaching games at Tech. Hopefully, he'll be here 12 years or so and put us back on the football map of relevance. Then he and his wife can retire and buy that van to travel the USA.

Sieg said on 247 commit announcements that a big reason
he picked WVU was they were willing to let him also play on offense.

Maybe Byington eventually looks to get back closer to
his Salem home to be closer to aging parents and coaches at Tech.

I'm cautiously optimistic Franklin can turn football around.
Also, cautiously optimistic CMY can get this basketball team going.

I've seen it over the years. Almost any team at Tech that is hyped too much
can't live up to the hype. We'll see if this team can get better and be an NCAA team. I'll keep rooting for them. Go Hokies.

Maybe it's a good thing we're not playing Vandy. They're
whipping St. Mary's 34-17. I wish we had Byington as coach.

I laugh at the Peacock announcers calling Neo the
freshman "phenom". After that game, he has been average at best. Still adjusting to American basketball from Greece basketball. He'll get better, hopefully in time for ACC play. Right now, we look like an NIT team instead of NCAA.

They started terribly both halves. Can't our coaches motivate the team to
come out ready to play. The only good part of the game was the 12-0 run going from 10 down to 2 up before VCU's timeout. Admirably made a decent run to cut it to 6, but as what usually happens to teams expending that much energy, they ran out of steam. Go Hokies. Keep getting better, get Tobi back, and hopefully, don't have any more injuries.

I think Mt. Olive is a D-2 school. Big Pat should have a great season
playing down a level from ACC/Power 5.

I'd take Saban if he was interested. It would be
interesting to see what caliber of recruits he could bring to B'burg and how he would do with less than he had at 'Bama and LSU.
