Disappointing tournament for me personally. A team can't always be great
offensively, but any team can always play great defense. And that is my rub. This team can play great defense every time out if they want to. It takes want-to and desire. Coach MY is supposed to be a defensive minded coach. We shall see.
Realize Tobi Lawal is an important part of this team and the results of yesterday and today may have been different if he played.
Nevertheless, great defense often translates into good offense. I'm hopeful this team turns it up a notch or two and comes out of the gate willing to play great defense moving forward.

I don’t agree that we can play great defense. I just don’t think we have the horses.

defense. I know they didn't have Lawal, but they just didn't look ready to go to me. CMY hired Chester Frazier back in an effort to improve defense. Team played well in spurts defensively, but they need to put together an entire game defensively. So, to your point, it helps to have horses, but we have good enough athletes to play fundamental defense the entire game.

Historically his offenses have been pretty far ahead of his defenses, with the exception of his first couple of years here.

So they've certainly got it together. VCU on the other hand are not world beaters, but I think we really really miss Lawal.

i don't think Tobi was the difference in double digit looses. One of my main concern is the lack of energy to start the game.
