Iowa is hedging for a quad 1 win
Doubt VT would be a top 25 net team next season but MY lives on the top 50 bubble lately.
That gives Iowa the best chance for a quality win. I'm sure VT will get paid for travel expenses and some cash. I believe Iowa lost a lot of experience from last years squad.

my early take: VT will be very match up dependent
some teams VT will handle but, unless they shoot well from 3, I see teams not allowing VT to score many paint points

FSU hitting was nothing speacil
we put out a picture who threw less then 10 meaningful innings this season and shut them down.. If EMzma and the catcher didn't allow thr ball to the backstop they might have scored only one run

our philosophy is to bomb the ball, hard to do with a good change up.
Pete said he wanted them to anticipate the change and go after it. But they just couldn't stay back enough.

hopefully he can jump over a shoe box unlike our previous 5's
no idea about offensive skill/ footwork but a guy that can jump and block without fouling would be helpful at points .

Emma needs to avoid walking batters
the two run scored in the 7 inning, all walks. She is running into the problem we had last year with our stud pitcher ( name escapes me) They throw hard but they end up in a lot of deep counts. They waste to many pitch throwing so far out of the zone trying to get hitters to case. The hitters foul off a ton of 2 strike pitches cause they see so many pitches
She needs to avoid the middle of the plate. but attack the hitter. She doesn't need to live on the black of the plate to be effective

it's hard to calculate cause the TV deal is for all sports.. but
does unc make more money in revenue compared to their expense for MBB? VT football brings in money, basketball is depends on the season

It's a rival and conference opponent
to me it seams like a tampering situation. I wish players did interviews and explained their decisions
my best guess was she wanted to play for a " big " time program. Irony is she gets to play against KB next season.

UVa has more family/trust fund money
VT is close to being on par with current salaries but when you look at at the stock portfolio of a UVA grandparent vs. VT, that's your difference. Just like the BIG 10 vs SEC. Uva, Unc and the big 10 have more old money that has been growing for generations. Compared to the SEC which is more "new" money. From someone who grew up with not much and now seeing how people with family money operates, it's a huge hill to climb to catch up. It will take VT decades/ generations to catch up.

not poor but not rich either
VT isn't in the position to develop players anymore. To be honest nor are a lot of Div -1 teams. There is no reason to spend money on a player like Dorn and develop him when it's a one year contract and he can leave if you make him much better.

NIL and Portal aren't ruining college.. the transfer rules are
if you could sign players to multi year deals and limit the amount of transfers the portal wouldn't be an issue. After seeing how coaches and administrators behave the players have every reason to be compensated.

i think she is a great player but won't pair great with Carleigh
not on the same level but similar to ND problem last season. You can't have the same player at the 1 and 2 fighting for shots.

VT softball has the greatest potential for a bad ass setting
but it straight fumbled by a bunch of idiots that are given a hand out cause their parent have been more successful then their off spring will ever be.. a UNC , UVa issues
