I included more win-loss records than usual, including records at home, away, and neutral sites (FSU has played 34 home games versus 13 for VT). Since we're close to selection Sunday, I also include records from the RPI groupings that the selection committee will use.

equal to those they hit, 62. They have only given up 37. These stats are tight. Great matchup.

FSU's Isa Torres was named the ACC Softball Player of the Year as well as ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
From the ACC release: "Against conference opponents, Torres hit .475 (38-for-80) with 10 home runs, 38 runs and 24 runs batted in. In conference competition, she ranks in the top five of the league leaders in batting average, slugging percentage (1.013), on-base percentage (0.571), runs scored (38), hits (38), triples (3) and home runs (10). At the end of the regular season, the Georgetown, Texas, native was ranked third in the nation in overall batting average (.547), fourth in on-base percentage (0.608) and fourth in runs per game (1.50). Torres cemented herself in the NCAA record books on March 20, becoming the first player in NCAA history to record 14 hits in 14 consecutive at-bats.":

Meaning if we play to our ability we win ..if we have several errors we lose.
If we played 3 games I believe we win 2 they win 1.
1 game is a 50/50 but the edge FSU due to experience in the championship games

Carrico and Mazzarone for VT.
Francik, Danley, and Dimitrijevic for FSU.
Jazzy Francik was named the ACC Pitcher of the Year after "posting a 9-1 record in 63.2 innings of work in conference play this season, holding the second-lowest ERA in the league at 1.87. The Rockledge, Florida, native struck out 48 batters while holding conference opponents to a .170 batting average. Francik was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week three times this season."
"Bree Carrico was named the ACC Freshman of the Year for her work done in the circle this season, recording the third-lowest ERA (1.93) in conference play. She finished conference play with a 6-1 record, totaling the fifth-most wins in the league. The Appomattox, Virginia, native struck out 49 batters at the plate and allowed just 14 earned runs. Carrico was also named to the 2026 ACC All-Freshman team."
Ashtyn was named to the All-ACC second team as a utility player and Emma Mazzarone was named second team All ACC as a pitcher.
