Exactly what he told me was their number to him was 3.8, and that they took that number to UNC who wouldn't come above 3.6 but sold him on Malone and how he can prepare him for the next level 3.6 million is key because thats the amount for the back half of the NBA Draft...meaning he would need a lottery commitment to beat UNCs offer. Maryland's On3 guy said Avdalas was asking 3 million. QUICKNESS - that is innate and something you cant just teach or turn up... I dont know the pro game at all, but quickness and shooting are key and he lacks in both areas right now. Paper potential = ok, yes Body of work at the D1 level = 2nd round G-league guy for at least 3 yrs... But I wish him well and glad VT took a shot at/with him!

Obviously he is going to get better. Likely much stronger and that should help with his handle in traffic and bring able to attack the rim and stop settling. He is probably a better shooter then he has shown and of course technique and confidence can do wonders. But im not sure how you learn a nba quick release and he doesn't have it. And I agree he will never have the explosive first step. Sure he moves and advances the ball well and has really good instincts on the court. I certainly can see how he can become an important part of a school capable of making a deep ncaa run. Can he still develop other aspects of his game to do enough things to be worth a nba roster shot in a year or two? The easiest answer is to say no, but I won't say no way.

If I remember correctly it was $14 million NIL and $7 million AD redistribution. They were giving the coach every financial benefit to keep up with Duke. I think they had 12 roster players, not sure how many were in their rotation. Their top 4-5 were hauling in some payola.

on UNC budget, it is a clear example of the games being played and the lack of transparency surrounding NIL and rev share. I am sure both Teel and GC have what they consider trusted sources and no reason to doubt the info they are given. However, the variance in the amounts represents, at least IMO, there is more going on than meets the eye when info is shared.

So I don't believe anyone when they say they know for sure regardless of their sources. Would like more transparency though.
