Posting History (1,928)

And here is the one from 2020.If you look at the Top 20 it's pretty

reliable, most of these players ended up becoming stars almost from day 1. Now after that I really don't recognize a lot of the names.

I would agree regarding South America, but not Europe, athletes there go into

a variety of sports, not just soccer. The difference is that there is a youth development system there, which we don't. We have traveling soccer, which is a pay for play. Talented kids whose parents can't afford that have no chance. MLS clubs aren't going out there building academies for the U-10 onwards. Soccer in the US is a middle class suburban sport.

Hahaha,I'm surprised they were actually putting two loser programs over

there. No one in Brazil would be excited about it, it would have been a bust. NFL has exploded in popularity over there, but not sure why they thought College Football especially with 2 mediocre programs would work. I wonder if the 10 Hoos who bought their airline tickets and booked their hotels can sue whoever organized that joke

I think we will be pleasantly surprised by those two.A whole off season of

conditioning plus being in our system for a year will show progress. I'm glad they didn't transfer nor were encouraged to leave. Need to have patience with bigs, it's not everyday you will get a Kitley or Strack

One of Weaver's down the hall lazy hires, not sure who was worse, him or

Rickey Stokes. And then he comes back out of nowhere hired by Brent Pry! Whenever folks complain about coach Young you just need to ask them if they sat through games coached by Bobby Hussey, Rickey Stokes or James Johnson.

I was just looking at last year's production. But Sagnia played in the first

Spanish league so I would think that put him ahead of Dorn as he was 2nd German. Based on his numbers in Spain and his competition there did you expect more from him at NCState? ** Edited by HokieBrazil at 5/9/2026, 1:05:35 PM

SMU and UVA seem too low. Clemson too high and we are at the bottom and

people expect that coach Young magically generates an NCAA team every year. ** Edited by HokieBrazil at 5/6/2026, 11:47:43 AM

I think it's a low risk potentially high reward offer.Hard to go after the

highly wanted players in the portal when you have a shoestring budget, so gotta get creative. Wishing her the best!

They can but do they transfer every year?I doubt it,then there is zero

academic progress. Players should be allowed to transfer but if you still want to pretend they are students you should make them sit out a year. Only give that exception after the 1st year or if you have graduated

I am just making fun of the board, everytime we lose we have folks saying

we lost because we had Wofford players. Honestly, I wish we had more Wofford players.

Transfers without penalty (no sitting out) should only be allowed after

your first year or after you graduate. You should be able to use the angle of academic progress to put that rule in place. It would reduce a lot of chaos out there.

Expect lawsuits left and right from current players.Tyler Nickel is already

talking about how unfair it is on Twitter. Time for these players to get to the real world. Go play in Europe Tyler, go see the world. ** Edited by HokieBrazil at 4/28/2026, 11:36:35 AM

Dang,we couldn't get that German guy from Wofford so we have to go to Elon

backups. I seriously hope we are not paying him. But if that's all we can afford, we are in bad shape.

Do you feel she was asked to leave or she figured she might as well play

somewhere else at a lower level? I saw potential, if she had stayed maybe by her Junior year she could have been a contributor.

So my idea of bringing back Big Pat is not that wild either.I mean with our

budget we are not bringing ACC starting caliber players. Whatever little money we had got spent on our 3 returning starters. Or do you all think Solomon Davis will be more of an upgrade over Big Pat?

Agree! 2 years ago there was a Marquette player that went to ND.She didn't

start. But would have made a huge difference for us. Liza Karlen I think it was her name
