24 game playoff, no Conference Championships
College coaches endorse the proposal. Has the semi pro look. "For these reasons, both ESPN and the SEC have worked hard to limit the number of CFP games and keep the conference championship games. Not surprisingly, on the other side of the ledger, the rest of college football wants to expand past 16 games and discard the conference championships to break the SEC-ESPN monopoly on the sport."

Agree, but as well, how to confront ESPN/SEC domination perhaps?

Good the Hoos could get in after losing to Duke
then get blown out in the first game without once singing the Good Ole song. Hoos will still claim the portal is the way to go. On a serious note, I think conference championships are obsolete with Notre Dame not playing in one. Top 8 byes seem reasonable.

24 is too many. I could see going to 16 but I'd rather see 8 teams.
I could see 16 without byes. 8 teams without byes would be my preference. There are already too many blowouts but that could change.

I would rather have 4. Money talks though.

They can vote all they like
Doesn't mean their vote actually counts when it comes to decision making

5 weeks
Top 8 teams get a first round bye, so you have 8 games in week 1, 8 in week 2, 4 in week 3, 2 in week 4, 1 in week 5.

Took 7 weeks for 12 teams.

Might have a longer break between the semifinals and the final
which could push it to six weeks.

The coaches want no more than 6 days between games

That's awesome- as long as school doesn't get in the way let's ruin
the young players health for a few more dollars

Probably 5 or 6 weeks.
Depends on how the byes are set up.

Bubble gum? Oh, you said bubble. Yeah, I’d hope, at least, for that.
