Did B St get nuked?

He posted a picture of one of VT's female athletes.
It was a classic pre-graduation pic: cute short white dress, graduation sash, posed at a campus landmark, etc. People started making inappropriate comments, so poof-gone. Women get objectified on these boads all the time, because our website user base is over 90% male. But when that gets turned towards VT's athletes .... nope. Gotta go. BStreet didn't get nuked. His post did. ** Edited by Will Stewart at 7/13/2026, 10:55:10 PM

Google "Livvy Dunn debate" and there's a plethora of opinions . . .
. . . about female athletes and objectification. As the father of two D1 female athletes it's a pretty salient topic. In the NIL world there's certainly money to be made by successfully 'branding'. There will always be a debate about role that appearance and, therefore, sexuality plays in it. ** Edited by MidloHokie at 7/14/2026, 2:54:32 PM

You are right there will always be a debate about how women, not just
athletes, chose to brand themselves. I find the debate fascinating because I do see both sides of it and I realize just how razor thin the divide between those sides can be at times. It can't be easy for female athletes to try to navigate that minefield. I tip my hat to them especially since they have to deal with the percentage of the male population that are pigs.

a certain percentage of guys will always be pigs - no matter what

Yep, sad truth.

VT athlete or not, IMO that is long overdue in being cleaned up here

those things are just eccentric tastes
creepsters have plenty of other places they should go for their jollies before TSL. Will Stewart has , as is his right, taken a draconian stance on any political discourse. IMO it is then more then appropriate to have a pretty low bar for inappropriate sexually suggested posts or photos. I didn't even see the post, in question but I have seen enough examples in over two decades that were overtly sexual and even more so immature/childish.

With everyone one of his game previews he posts a pic of a female player
or cheerleader from the opposing team. Do you not feel that actually starts the objectification?
bigbadbird bigbadbird OP
You think a cheerleader doesn't want to be looked at ? Innapropriate
comments are the problem- not pretty girls - Pretty girls are never the problem- well unless you are dating them

My sister was a cheerleader through high school and some of college, and
I can tell you the objectification has had long-term consequences. She didn't start cheering because she "wanted to be looked at", she was like 10 years old. But once you start, if you want to keep doing it, you better fit the mold or you'll be mocked pretty badly (at least 20 years ago). It's just a uniform, not a statement that you want to be objectified. The rest of her life has been spent trying to fit that mold. It's not healthy. I know I'm a Debbie Downer, and I apologize if I'm taking it out on you. Just a sore subject, and I can understand why someone might feel the way you do.
bigbadbird bigbadbird OP
I didn't say anyone wanted to be objectified - I said looked at- they lead
cheers- for people in the stands.... who look at them

Stop it with the Bigfoot joke! My sister from Bluefield is a good girl
Large, Hairy, and aggressive, she is still a good person, even if she was able to dunk a basketball at age 9.
