Do young people not know how to drive, are inattentive, or just don't care?
Sitting in the right lane at a stoplight. The left lane is left turn only, and the right lane is left, straight or right turn. I was turning left when the blond in the left lane started drifting towards me. I slammed on the brakes as she just drifted right into my lane...in the turn. I hit the horn, but she was probably clueless.
I normally see some dumb-butt do something stupid every day I'm on the road, but this is the first one that tried to hit me.

People around here were always terrible drivers, but now they've simply lost their collective freaking minds. Literally every time I drive up here I see at least one (and most times, many) drivers doing things that are positively insane. Every. Single. Time. Texting, scrolling their phones while driving, doing burnouts in residential areas, speeding (like I'm talking well over 100 on the Beltway), racing other cars while weaving in and out of traffic, honking and screaming at other drivers. It's unreal. Have people really gotten this dumb/careless?

been a big focus when I've taught my drivers to drive because I know even experienced drives naively cut the turn a bit when starting outside or sometimes take too wide of a turn outside. Such is life.

The problem is road coming out to the main road has a left (left turn only) middle (left turn or straight) and right (right turn only) lanes.
The dotted line that shows the path for those turning left clearly shows that the middle turn lane goes into the far right lane for their turning path and the left lane makes their turning path into the middle lane. Unfortunately the lines wear out and people can't see them well.
Most of the time those in the middle lane cut their turn short and into the middle lane. I often get into the left lane and nearly get hit as I turn into the middle lane and the person to my right comes down into what should be my lane.
I've gotten honked at several times... But the lines clearly show that if you are in the center lane, you should be in the far right after your turn.

Whenever I'm in the left lane, I definitely just always keep it tight and go into the left lane on N. Franklin.
The wild one is when you're coming out from CHS making a left and someone decides to use that crossing lane to also take a left. Only happened to me maybe twice.

I 100% know how I'm going to die.
I go running or walking every day when it's warm. I eye up every single driver who comes by me, just to see what they are doing. At least 50% of the college-aged girls are texting, despite the recent law that says you can't.
100% chance that one of them will hit me one day, and thus my effort to improve my personal health will actually kill me. I guarantee it.

I want a chance to jump out of the way instead of being run down from behind. I also don't wear headphones because that may not allow me to hear a car coming at me from behind.

I’ve always run/walked against traffic. Still so. And there is this one 50ish yo woman who walks in our ‘hood who walks with traffic, forcing me out into the road when we pass in opposite directions. She knows she is wrong, actually has said so, and still does it.

seems to be a little bit of everybody. I use the USAA Safe Pilot app which basically means I cannot touch my phone while I drive and I don't. However, one part of that app is stupid. I get dinged if I answer a call via bluetooth hands free. How is that more dangerous that talking to someone else that is physically in the vehicle with you? Quite stupid ... but it does get me out of some calls I don't want to take.

car on the inside of a double left turn lane, just drove right into the side of the car on the outside. On their phone of course.
