Most overrated retail ever. Mostly garbage, and there's really not that

much stuff. If you pay attention, you will realize there is a jerky display everywhere in the store. Same goes with everything else they sell. These stores are nothing more than the old school Stuckeys, just way the hell bigger. As a matter of fact, it's basically just 20 Stuckeys stores put into one location đŸ¤Ŗ

USAA is learning the patriotism card only can be played so often.

At some point, you have to do something, provide a solid product. Besides, I've never seen it be competitive on the price, ever, and it gets a chance every time we've looked at new coverage.

Not joking, there were years I had a Mercedes in Blacksburg that ALWAYS

had the keys in it, at home, at work, at PK's, probably even Lot 5 Chicken Hill. It was my early version of keyless entry đŸ¤Ŗ

No argument here. Just switched back to a real man's car six months ago

after some years of lazy driving. I'm more alert and aware behind the wheel, and do feel mentally better after the effort.

Hey Soccer, Curling is at the back corner table and could

probably use some company for a few years. See y'all in a few đŸ¤Ŗ

In college athletics, there is definitely an old boy network that is

hard to break into. A great example are some of the most inept head coaches seemingly able to land on their feet anywhere they want to, or some of the most crooked able to glide in for a smooth landing. Now, that being said, we could be getting stuck with a bill of goods just because of who he is, but it looks like he's got a good track record.

I'll save you some time. You don't need to look at any other year.

It's the exception, not the rule, that the top players from Virginia actually ever turn out to be the top players from Virginia.

Why don't you throw in your WSJ password while you're at it.

Annoys the crap out of me when people post a length that goes to a subscription site. Carry on

Don't be fooled, gifts that large are usually not instant cash, either.

It's usually pledged over a period of time, and sometimes it doesn't include the most liquid of assets. Have heard a couple of stories in the past about a couple of the Pamplin's major donations. Many times those type gifts don't realize the "publicity" amount, and in some it takes years to realize it as expendable cash.

He doesn't align with her party. Immediate removal is a surprise.

The simple fact he wouldn't be reappointed should have been no shock to anyone.

Obviously he wasn't smart enough to get into Duke to begin with.

And certainly his attorneys didn't go to Duke. Contract law is pretty straightforward.

And this is what is wrong. No contract, no motivation, lousy play. At some

point, the money is going to wake up and walk away. Not just here, either. I doubt anyone at the U will praise the cost/benefit of Carson Beck either. Stupid money chasing hopeless results.

Blind hog finds an acorn. That's about all boils down to. Don't beat VT

up for hiring Pry, and don't get too high and mighty on Virginia Tech because of James Franklin. I thought the timing of our firing was pretty stupid at the time, but it turned out to be solid gold. And PSU was really stupid, as well, we're going to come out smelling like roses hopefully. I'm just thankful a smarter head, or heads, prevailed than have in the past two attempts. Now, if we can hit a home run with an AD hire, and we need a new one, then we're talking and can pound our chests some.

Actually, it's YTTV wanting to mark things up too much. Besides, a very

large chunk of those YTTV channels are free on many, many other apps. Screw them. Hope it fades fast.

I just have a problem with people that speak in absolutes. And saying 100%

is speaking an absolutes. Never mind I'm a little sensitive about this. See, my own kid when he was about five, and his friend hid behind my car in my driveway, and I damn near ran over them. Did I see them? **** no I didn't, they were hiding behind my car in my driveway. Would it have been my fault had I hit them? In your world absolutely, because I 100% did not see them, they were stationary, and had I not not heard them giggling, I could have killed both of them. Hell, I went for a good two years doing a full walk around my car every time I went out. Damn, I knew there was a reason I stopped reading any of the **** on this board, it's because most of y'all are worthless at having a discussion with.

Meh, I would call you on that. I know a lot of people who have done that.

Personally, I haven't done it, but I've had it happen to me, and part of it was my fault. How many times have you jumped in your car to back out of your own driveway and didn't turn and look around? More times than you would care to admit I'm sure. That's how it happened to me. I parked behind a family member in a spot that I don't normally park, and got my butt hit. My dad backed right into my car! ** Edited by UEMcGill at 4/28/2025, 2:36:38 PM

Personally, it sounds like mostly bad luck, but there's a fine line between

totally wrecking their confidence, and trying to get a point across. I don't think you look at it as a punishment. Maybe you have them work and pay the deductible, or something like that, but I wouldn't come down in a way that was considered or would look punitive. I've had friends in that same boat. They just had an unlucky kid when it came to driving early on.

Between the Sanders brothers and the Imaleava clowns, things might get a

little less chaotic down the road. I'm going to have to fix more đŸŋ though, the longer this drags out đŸ¤Ŗ

I did a section once to get moss and mold that was building up in a spot.

But it definitely looked different after I was finished, but otherwise I don't see a reason. If it doesn't look any different, somebody probably has a bad case of OCD.
