I am surprised people are not seeing the effect it could have. If a Netflix or Amazon buy them than a new era is upon us.

I have always said VT was one of my favorite games. VT went into the
Wilderness for a few years ND knows the wilderness well. But with Franklin you stumbled upon a good coach. Damn good recruiting.

Franklin needs to win and he likely will. The money is secondary because
Most schools in the hunt have big donors that can pony up. Many though do not have a great coach. VT picked up a gem after PSU stupidly fired Franklin. So short sided.
I hope this is the turning point for you guys. The ACC needs more balance and more top teams.

Duke and USF are our opponents that we played late a lot ? since when did that happen? Heck we haven’t even played Boston College that much only like 20+ times or something. Stanford is a new arrival that most Notre Dame fans want to ditch.
Only way I could see that happen is if you drop the required games down to two max per year

ESPN does not want 24 because that means other networks will come in
Therefore, they use the SEC (ND also supports this it seems) to kill the 24 plan. I do not want 24, but I want ESPn to have less power in the game.

Well, they both don't trust one another so this is a byproduct
Like two silver back gorillas flinging poo at each other. The Big Ten will likely want to expand the conference if the playoff goes 24. They have to be preparing for their next contract.

ND will be fine with economics. We’re all in to a level not seen since
Holtz 87-88. We spent between 30-40 million on this roster and would spend more if talent came available. I just need to open the floodgates and let the chips fall where they may. Not an ideal system, but it is the American system.

Bama did not belong and I would say that no matter the team. The SEC is
Experiencing a leveling of the playing field now because now it is legal to pay players. The SEC advantage is gone. Still the top conference but the gap is really narrower.

I know ND stands for a lot of good and does wonderful
work around the world. But the fact is they use the football program to earn money and fulfill the university mission. They need cash to do that and are really good at making it.
