What's your favorite movie soundtrack?
I have several that I listen to on a regular basis.
- Dazed and Confused
- Oh Brother Where Art Thou
- Atomic Blonde
Wish I had picked up the soundtrack of Fast Times at Ridgemont High when it was available. (I did a quick search on Amazon, and they don't have it.) I instantly think of the movie whenever I hear one of the songs.

Unless there was a movie soundtrack that was ENTIRELY Frederic Chopin maybe. Haven't heard one yet.

Forrest Gump is basically a greatest hits list for 20 years so really kind of a cheat code for a movie. Loved a lot of Dylan tunes but "A Complete Unknown" soundtrack I've heard before. (even with the nice renditions by Chalamet et al) Does the music advance the plot is maybe a better question.

I've been in a jag the last couple weeks even bothered to sign up with Netflix to watch the whole thing. But that is a really good soundtrack and as they say the tunes advance the story.
If I had to do a lifetime soundtrack I would probaby have to go back to the Good, the Bad and the Ugly can't beat Morricone for several of his sountracks. Oh Brother Where Art Thou is excellent too, Many bought the soundtrack and then went to the movie and yeah i own the CD. Saw Dan Tyminski just last summer do Man of Constant Sorrow locally.. He's still a fantastic singer with a lot of energy. One of those questions where other sountracks will pop up in my head in the next hour. Less than zero with the Bangles cut of "Hazy Shade of Winter"? Pulp fiction?
OK, I'll leave my mancard in the box by the door.

Mostly 80's alternative redone with a Reggae twist...
Ziggy Marley's rendition of The Cars "Drive" is most gooderly....but lots on there is really great....

of 80's hits that were often forgotten because they didn't get completely over played in subsequent eras. I would guess a lot of hits that, relatively speaking, quickly came and went.
