Posting History (31)

The Lounge 2 mo ago

Youngest of 6, born in 1963....parents didn't sweat anything by the time I

came around. Was the ultimate latch key kid growing up in a small town. This above is so true. Have raised 8 kids and the difference is amazing.

I have in the past. Just being a decent person methinks.

One of the reasons I'm glad I don't travel much anymore. Everyone seems on edge and not very friendly.

Went there last summer to see the speach. They do it every Sunday at like

2pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pretty cool thing to watch. Then we go have a burger and beers at Station 2, cool burger joint on Main St.

Son has one - loves it.

We just bought a Sportage and love that as well.

I'll vote for you.

Good luck with the Mohs surgery. Just had it done a few weeks ago. Nothing but a headache for 2 days and a scar. Chicks dig scars. And glory. And money.

I'm a believer of that story.

One night a few couples friends of ours were bantering on music and "most overrated band" category came up and one of the ladies said "The Monkees". We all looked at each other and started laughing - "like, they're rated". Still a subject of laughter today.

RVA "Ball of Fire" Trivia - came in 3rd yesterday in the big tourney...

$300 for third wasn't shabby!....first $450, first $600. Lost by 3! Fun time at Bingo Beer. On to next year!

Im sure we did. 117 was the best place for music

I loved β€œsteady rolling, no contolling, up the colon….Bob Margollin” . The 3 piece, stand up bass was the best. Legends. β€˜81 to β€˜85.

Very cool. At that time, I was very good friends with Raj (Banga).

Raj and I connected a few years ago on LI and exchanged emails. His brother Sanj works here in town at a bank and connected as well. Good guys. I didn't know Ben as much but I did know all of them just hanging at 117 South Main and all the other dives they played at. I imagine if I pulled up their playlist then, it would be the exact one I listen to now. Love me some TP and they did a great Breakdown, Americal Girl etc. Thanks for the update on that....Great flashback!

What-A-Burger Colonial Heights....first fast food I ate at.

Youngest of 6 with a father born in 1920 so he saved his pennies. But we went a couple times a year before anything else was even built in CH. Nostalgia more than food quality

Miracle, The Boys of '80 on Netflix is phenomenal

Brings back a lot of great memories. Of course, whoever experienced that, knows exactly where they were when we beat Russia (to go to the Finals). Highly recommend.

Mr Fooz vets...who was there when Lance Terpenny drove his motorcycle

through Mr Fooz on the last night? One of the greatest college dive bars ever. Incidentally, Lance was a great swimmer from my town (Colonial Heights) who became a BBurg townie. It was crazy meeting him up there since he was at least 10 years older than me, but our families were friends for years. Great memories from Mr Fooz!

Better series...Homeland or The Wire?

On Season 7 of Homeland and its rivaling The Wire for me. Both darn good.
