Clemson trying to hire PSU's other co-DC (Tom Allen)...
If true, perhaps PSU won't want to lose both co-DCs in one year... Social media rumors are that he and Franklin hate each other, explaining the lateral move. ** Edited by Telionis at 1/13/2025, 11:29:31 AM

Where does Clemson get all this money from???

Iptay and the college.
They think they’ll have an annual NIL budget of at least $20 million for football.

They are just now implementing a pretty small fee for 2025-26.
And it's smaller than ours.

Wasn't Dabo funneling a bunch of money through a Church before the NIL era?

A lot of the Clemson big money came from real estate.
Developing South Carolina has been pretty lucrative. A lot of successful business owners that made a lot of money selling businesses. They have heritage textile money too (don’t forget Greenville was once the nations textile capital by production). Lots of successful entrepreneurs who stayed in the area.

Clemson gets a ton of small alumni donations, Google "IPTAY"...
Their alumni just care more. Meanwhile we're near the bottom of the ACC in alumni giving. :( I'll never understand that given that VT always ranks high on metrics of students loving their school and community. ** Edited by Telionis at 1/13/2025, 12:14:50 PM

you all get blinded on IPTAY
VT and IPTAY are very similar and Clemson has relied ore on big corporate givers than the past. The IPTAY is more the small time 25-100 dollar givers and yeah thats lot, for some folks, but for clemson they need alot of contributors to even make a dent. (and these 'avg' folks are the same demographic as others on message boards. VT Hokie Club is the same, In ACC, actually VT contributors from the Hokie club is right behind clemson. The Big difference is schools like UNC GT, Duke and UVA dont have the mass contributors the big corporate supporters can right one check for a million and dont miss it, and that is equivalent of hte hard work to even get 10,000 100 contributors VT and WHIT is HORRIBLE in reaching out in the mid Atlantic area to corporate agencies, to solicit rights, investment in the brand, he don't know that area, he really cant talk effectively to that group and he's has very limited understanding of branding and maximizing value in naming rights. THat's where the money is (funny Pry is actually better in this world)
Pylons Pylons
Whether it's big or small donors, IPTAY is kicking the Hokie Club's butt
They are hardly the same.

Does the Hokie Club even exist anymore?

Sort of surprised VT didn't copy that to bring in money from small donors.

in the air buddy....
money can be found if the commitment is there. Its a choice. (we do too, if some of the doors open up and the givers we need are not the traditional ones adjacent to blacksburg
