Hate it for UR and VT. He’s a great person and coach. Relates to players
and his best players declined to portal for the money. Think he will see a different scene at UVA.

My father was a W&M alum. I remember him telling me he sent Lou a personal check one summer as a thank you gesture with a note to have a good time with his wife. He received a thank you note saying he had given the funds to some assistant coaches as they really needed it…
The next year he left for NCS.

OK just an observation for discussion about KD
He has had three years as a starter and everybody knows what we have: good runner, bad passer. Doesn't see the field, locks in on a receiver, can't check off and happy feet. He is what he is. Probably, as CC has pointed out, the offensive system doesn't suit his skill set. So
Why not try Pop or Rangel? Posters point to Pop's bowl game. Many opt outs and he missed some throws. OK, not a good game for him but this wasn't a fair game for evaluation. Hey. and how many bad games and missed throws for KD as a three year starter?
And Rangel isn't sniffing the field. No idea what he can do.
Don't see a lot a downside risk at this point....... JMO

Our competition is telling them they are crazy coming to VT…
Not knowing who their coach will be. And until we get competent leadership in our AD and FB coach I can’t argue. Expect some of our commitments to reopen their recruitment.

OK it's great to see UNC get embarrassed but our attention needs to be

Recruiting matters when we get highly ranked players but not when we lose
Out to UVA who, by the way, outranked us for incoming portal players. Just saying we need to start winning on the field to turn around to turn around recruiting. Don’t tel OSU, Clemson, PSU, UT, et al that high school recruiting doesn’t matter.

Yesterday at a Richmond high school SB game
Sophomore pitcher for Matoaca struck out 25 over nine innings. Only gave up a bunt single in the 9th. She has a 0.00 ERA for the year.
Her opposing pitcher only struck out 16, allowing three hits all in the 9th.

Come here? Their program is much better than ours. Their top 7-8 would start for us. but I expect their coach to be at NCS or UVA next year which could ……
No meaningful help until our NIL gets competitive.

We can forget being truly competitive. He has proven he can coach if ghee has talent. Success now is a function of $$ instead of building relationships with young men.
