Fans of teams that recruit poorly use this as a cope. Fans of schools that recruit well know better, and wouldn't give up their classes that are loaded with 4* players.

Just transfer. So it is better to just portal in players. They're probably correct in regards to UVA, but Franklin has better retention.

It just isn’t complicated - more four and five stars are better.
The better discussion is how to balance us recruiting with the tp and how / when does that strategy need to change.
Under 50 words - gimme a prize!

They are just a guess but, long term, I’d rather us have higher ranked recruits

is regardless of the validity or invalidity of his point, what does he hope to accomplish by making the same posts over and over and over and over again? I venture to say the latest string of posts did no more to make his case than all the ones that came before did.

There needs to be a post word limit or a link to a posted document site.
I'll just mute.
EDIT: 9 - Thats how many muted messages I got

What if we had a separate board to aid with long winded posts, something like...
Current Thread:
Flanker @Flanker
Recruiting rankings are BS! VT 2012
(Text with a concise conclusion, without a *whole* lot of verbage.)
"To see my extensive research on this subject, click on the link."
Link Name: VT 2012 Class proves Recruiting Rankings are BS!
Link: (To a post on this currently mythical board, called 'Documentation' or something.)
Same amount of typed words, but people could choose whether or not to read the whole thing. It would save scrolling on the main page.
The idea would be that such a board would not be a board that people would read, in the usual sense. More like a runaway ramp for truckers.
Just a thought.

These are consecutive epistles. Let him go torture the Recruiting Board.

...each subsequent analysis rather than trying to dominate the first page of the football board with a ton of separate posts. That just comes across as spam and results in everyone ignoring the information, which very well could have merit.

Then, in mobile mode, which is where long posts cause the most grief, you can collapse threads, roll right past his initial long post, and not have to scroll through more long posts that are all displayed because they're thread starters.
But ... I'm done teaching people how to use the boards. I'm just banning people now. If you don't intuitively understand good message board etiquette, it's not my job, or the job of your fellow posters, to educate you.

... will automatically convert up to 3 links per post into clickable links.
You know ..... like every other form of social media has, for years.

Now, I am not saying he is totally wrong. Recruiting is less of an exact science, than we would like to think.
I do wonder if he is going to ask to have his screen name changed to...
FlankerSaysRECRUITING_RANKINGS_ARE_BS!!!
P.S.: I never saw this before. It almost literally reads that way!

Golf isn't an exact science either, but on a par 3, who do you bet makes the first hole in one?
a) Jack Nicholson (Wake Forest recruiting)
b) Jack Black (Towson State recruiting)
c) Jack Nicklaus (UGA recruiting)
