There is not a more classless hate-able team than Florida. Refuse to shake
Hands to TTech post game. I hope the NCAA bans them from postseason next year Suck it Gators and Walton! Texas Tech you might hate for trying to buy a title BUT they’re playing by whatever loose rules the NCAA Is allowing and they’re investing to win. Tim Walton is a GRADE A whiny baby A-Hole ** Edited by hokiepro at 5/24/2026, 4:55:18 PM

Coaches are/should be accountable. They can put an end
To their team’s trash talking. The two schools should be embarrassed

And Walton got himself intentionally ejected from the game in the
bottom of the 5th (run rule scenario) on an obvious strike, so he wouldn't have to congratulate TT after the game. And as you said the entire team stayed in the dugout at the end.

Agree to an extent. But it takes 2 to tango,
And TT was tango’ing in the classless mire step for step. Do you think TT would have shook hands if Florida would have won? We will never know, but there’s a decent chance they would not.

Nobody tangoed today. Entire TT bench got a warning.
TT batter shook her jersey name at supposedly UF fans. Mia Williams? After a dinger?

Sums it up nicely.

You have to look no further than the two head coaches to understand the . .
. . . two cultures that created that behavior.

Yes both teams were highly emotional; Supers game 3 of course
But when you have a coach who is OK with throwing at a former player transfer 5 times over 3 games. Maybe 1 wasn’t intentional MAYBE. He also actively recruited replacements for certain players WHILE they were at the WCWS. Should’ve gotten some pitchers because Rothrock wasn’t all that When Walton was in Bburg he intimidated 3B umpire into calling Lemley for illegal pitches. He did it for survival because without getting an advantage or getting in Lemley’s head when she was a FR they were going to lose 2-0 ** Edited by hokiepro at 5/25/2026, 6:39:20 AM

What got me was that the hit player is his DAUGHTER!

Huh? It was Jason Williams’s daughter
Not Tim Walton’s.

OK. Here goes my Walton story.
2014 in Gainesville for a tournament my daughter's UNCW team was playing. Also in the tournament was the school she formally coached at, Charleston Southern. She had recruited and developed the CSU starting P, a Florida girl who still holds the school strikeout record there. They faced the Gators on the final Sunday. Going into the fifth inning CSU was leading 3-0. The CSU girl had a nasty change and UF hitters were flummoxed. She was shutting out the premier team in her home state; a dream come true. Admittedly, she was always borderline legal (that leaping thing) but it had not been call weekend. In the fifth Walton began jawing the 3B ump. In the sixth he called 6 or the girl's first 8 pitches illegal. One can only imagine the conversation went something like "If you ever want to work here again . . . " . Obviously, she had to be lifted and CSU lost in extra innings. In the seventh I had made my way to aisle beside the UF dugout. As Walton left the field I called his name and yelled "you should be ashamed of yourself". His response for all to hear was "I'll beat your fu....ing a$$". No doubt he could since I'm giving away 25 years and 40 pounds. I just stood there staring until he entered the dugout. The really comical part was as I ascended the stairs back to the concourse a 'security person' older man said I'm going to have to issue you a "yellow card". It was a conduct warning. I asked him if profanity was allowed in the stadium and he said no. I told him the card needed to go to his coach. ** Edited by MidloHokie at 5/25/2026, 3:56:31 PM

My response as the 3B ump? "I don't, you don't [work here]!"
I'd have ejected him for the threat. And I only ejected 2 in 15 years of umpiring.

TT wasn’t throwing at a former player intentionally
Their coach didn’t intentionally get ejected. The Florida fans were trying to start stuff with TT

game that weekend, kentucky was in town. the florida fans were the absolute worst. cursing at the kentucky on-deck batters, they'd go right up against the fence and scream at the kentucky players, adults and kids. the ****tiest fanbase i've ever seen.
