Yes, UVa started on the 40 instead of the 25 due to a 15 yd penalty for
roughing the Duke QB on his TD pass in OT. It seemed to me like UVa panicked with no need to do so.

UVa coach is a very poor representative of their program & University in my
opinion. She gives us 0 credit at all and she is very curt in many of her answers. It makes me appreciate Megan Duffy even more! 👍

Not in JPJ apparently. I counted 10 total FT’s myself but 9 may be correct
Regardless, that is an absurd metric. 2 years ago, we shot a grand total of 2 FT’s in JPJ. Cazy stuff people. 😡

I also don’t think there were any VT related media there at all. There
seemed to be only a couple of FSU media there. In fact, hardly anyone was there period.

CKB should have had Cayla in the media session after the Baylor loss. She
put in 5 years along with Liz and it was her last game in Cassell. Brooks was ready to move to UK and had his new players at UK on the podium. Not good in my opinion.

That’s exactly what I have been saying. Everything changed when Bama beat
UGA. When Bama won, they were in (SEC thing you know). And with Bama in, the committee had to get Texas in (beating Bama at Bama & winning Big 12) and squeeze FSU out.

I officially met John when we were both Hokie Club presidents & I told
him I had seen him forever at games etc and what a pleasure it was to meet him. He was a very unassuming man but he was a great Hokie in the Pulaski area. 👍

I think I met you once or twice - right? I also recall you kicking a FG
early in the game but a penalty against Tech gave your Bucs a first down. ETSU either had a turnover or Hokies held on downs. Good memories right? 👍

I well remember JB Barber - their Dad. He had serious talent but had an
issue holding onto the ball. Credit to their Mom also a Hokie as JB wasn’t around much. 👍

1998 loss to UVa. This was the 3rd of 3 excruciating losses that season.
We had a big halftime lead but Aaron Brooks got as hot as any QB I have ever seen in Lane. The UVa loss following Temple & Syracuse really made me wonder if we could win close games again. But then we clobber Bama in bowl and roll in ‘99. 👍

I think we were like 18/18 or 19/19 on FT’s until Solomon missed the last
and then we lost to UNC in OT. Some buddies & I were at the game.

1st year coach Compton replaced legend coach Doc Adams - whose older
brother Paul (Clang) Adams was a Hokie football & baseball star.

Not the answer you want but it is highly unlikely that the RVA Hokie Club
will run buses to games this fall.
