I understand the "no news" on Liz but surprised it's been so quiet
I think we still get a 4 seed regardless. And I expect that if she is definitely out, it makes sense for VT to not say anything. So maybe I have answered my question. I keep checking news and hoping to hear that she is progressing and expected to play.

She is done. Feel really bad for her & team.

...would have shown a quick practice snippet of her playing or something, just to improve our odds of getting a top-4 seed. But since they haven't, it means she hasn't sniffed a return to the court.

Only CKB, staff and players know, and I assure you the practices are closed!! I'm not saying she will or won't play, but letting the women's basketball world know would be beyond dumb.

...than tricking our first round opponent in NCAAT with a 'surprise' ACC POTY.

If they were expecting her to play they would put out for everyone on the selection committee to see. In my eyes no news means she’s either not playing or questionable.

return kicks with a torn ACL.

We havent seen her since the ACCT so she may have had surgery as soon as it
ended. We won't see CKB again until tomorrow night's selection show. At that point, I think we'll hear that she's out for the tournament.

If it was an ACL tear, would think she'd have ad the surgery quickly and by now. So maybe something not as serious but still bad enough she can't practice/play and they may not want to risk further injury before the WNBA draft.

her horizon. She has a whole lot more ahead of her than that

two interesting things:
1. Playing in the WNBA would be great to compete at the highest level, but it's not "the be all to end all"
2. She wants to use basketball to see the world - and, when asked to name a specific place she'd like to experience - first place that came to her was France.

His thoughts
We should know Liz’s status then and only then
If he still says she’s working toward playing or trying to get back to play there’s a chance….otherwise IMO he will reveal if she’s out after the bracket release

No sense in giving opponents an idea one way or another.
