In most cases, where there's smoke, there's fire. There's an awful lot of
smoke around the notion that people just don't like playing with Hidalgo.

Disagree, overall talent this year was marginal. There are opportunities
to significantly improve our roster. If that means we lose a few players, so be it.

Playing sporadically in 5 games across 2 months, then deciding the injury
you sustained a year ago is a season ending injury (all while continuing to dress out and go through warmups) isn't exactly the way the NCAA intends for the medical redshirt to be used.

Not only that, but the way Kenny just left certainly did Georgia no favors.
Had he taken 5 minutes to write a simple farewell, acknowledging and thanking Hokie Nation, the animosity around his departure probably would have been a little lower. Since Kenny decided to be POS dirt bag about the whole thing, Georgia was lumped in with him and guilty by association.

Since I cannot try to buy tickets on here, can anyone point me in the right
direction for any possible secondary market for the Moss Arts Center this Friday? Would love to find 2 tickets so I can take my son.

You're way off on here. Every single year there are injury rumors
during the summer that aren't reported until official practices start.

Is it racism or jealousy that Caitlin Clark was the most famous WNBA
player before she even took a shot in the WNBA? I'm guessing that when you include endorsements, she's probably the highest paid WNBA player as well. That probably doesn't sit well with the rest of the league and no doubt they want to send a message to the young hotshot rookie. And, let's not forget that CC's play was somewhat controversial in college in that she did a lot of flopping and whining to refs.

She may not be the vocal leader, but she will certainly be a leader on the
team. After what Kenneth did to her last year, I think she has mad respect from the remaining holdovers.

And LOL at Coleman's Blacksburg Country Club comment. I'm friends with
many but the majority of them are the most out of touch cult this side of Richmond.

You're a stubborn one, aren't you?
It's not like he played a lot before his injury his freshman year and he only had 5 kickoff returns as a sophomore. The reports on helping and being exciting were mostly just coach speak for a local kid. This was no secret. Kick returner was really the only position for him due to straight line speed, but we typically had kids who were a little bigger and more agile there.

It should make perfect sense after reading Zeke's post.
Cole Beck is/was fast as hell, but he was not a football player. He was able to run through massive holes and his straight line speed was out of this world. He was not shifty and had bad hands.
So yes, coaches played that recruitment perfectly IMO.

Yes, a layer of rubber on top of concrete. I might be wrong, but I think
the courts in War were rubberized courts for a long time.

I don't think you even read Upwind's post.
Cancer is horrible and no one is saying otherwise. In this instance however, cancer is being used as a crutch to justify poor choices. Not to mention there are a lot of other rumors out there about why Kenny really left...rumors that have nothing to do with cancer, but don't exactly put the family in the best light.

What in the Kenneth Brooks is this supposed to mean?

Agree that twitterverse shouldn't be arguing with the family, but disagree
on paying respects. The Brooks family has received the same respect they gave. But as mentioned elsewhere, this appears to be a far deeper thing than most realize.

It sounds like it's the actual #33 number in Liz's case.
I believe Bailey mentioned at the spring game that no Hokie WBB will ever wear #33 again.

That's not even a rational comparison. We were a horrible program. SG is
probably about as good of an established coach as we could have gotten.
Women's Basketball Board

I think he was so broken hearted with the Liz situation that he had to find
somewhere else to coach. He couldn't even fathom coaching a team without Liz in Blacksburg, much less after an injury like that put an immediate halt to his season. CKB's entire demeanor changed once Liz went down. The way he mopped around, the way he talked in press conferences, like a puppy dog who had lost their owner.
