Out of 2349 eligible players...
Tech has two guys in the top 150 in offensive rebound percentage. Johnson (No. 106) and Lawal (No. 144). Lawal can actually get better there, as he was No. 38 nationally last season.

BTW, that puts us at No. 27 as a team on offensive rebound rate.
Previous high under Mike Young was No. 171. That's mostly due to Johnson and Lawal. Johnson is a bigger Radford, and Lawal is an athletic freak. Of course, those guys lack in a few areas that previous Tech teams were good at, so there will be a tradeoff.

Until our shooting form takes shape, shoot it and go get it
Might be the play offensively

Having offensive rebounders on this squad, that's definitely the way to go!

Personally, I'd rather have the athleticism vs. the offense skill guys
Coach Young can develop TJ and KL on the offensive side, but you can't teach the athletic piece.

They are more fun to watch to be sure!

WADR...development is over in college sports.

multi-year development may be more rare, but Lawal has already developed
a serviceable 3-pt shot being at VT for less than a year.

When does he plan on exhibiting said development?
