I think he was so broken hearted with the Liz situation that he had to find

somewhere else to coach. He couldn't even fathom coaching a team without Liz in Blacksburg, much less after an injury like that put an immediate halt to his season. CKB's entire demeanor changed once Liz went down. The way he mopped around, the way he talked in press conferences, like a puppy dog who had lost their owner.
