Looks like we all fell for the hype!
I told myself not to lesson to these expectations but somehow I did! Do you not believe if Young could have won these scrimmages he would have, if nothing but to build team confidence. Just face the facts! Team defense is weak, center position is weak, outside shooting is not good. Just the truth!

Hansberry had 19 and 8 against Gonzaga last year. 19 and 5 against Louisville. 13 and 10 against Arizona. Etc.
I'm not saying there aren't concerns. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't judge your baseball team on their standings in the Grapefruit League.

If college hoops were a game of Risk, someone could put the hurt on our center position.

But for anyone to feel like they got a good read on Hansberry after 12 minutes they'd have to be the greatest scout in the history of sports
I dont know everyone here, but im guessing thats not the case

were amazing. That did not exactly come through during the season. I know, injuries to the entire starting pitching staff, RF out for steroids for 80 games, etc. I get it.
Still, the Braves looked really good last March down here in FL.

Dorn. He is 'better than expected' - doesn't mean he is going to play 20 mpg and average 11/7. It means they were hoping he would be serviceable in a backup role and it appears he will be better than that this season. He has a grown man's body and knows how to battle in the paint. I also see a role for Gurdak so I agree - the center position is not weak in any way.

We will be a competitive team but not an NCAA tourney team.

Never seen so many people lose their minds over a scrimmage.

only scrimmages but reading the comments of people who where there I am a little disappointed in team’s performances. Especially in view of all the hype in off season. I I might considered pumping the brakes on expectations a little.

can understand: duh deder, lorem ipsum, dee der duh, do da duh, uh dah. Does that make it clearer about the actual purpose of a college basketball scrimmage? Hope so. Maybe try reading some after game comments by GC34 if you need an expert's explanation on scrimmages.

telling everyone what the purpose isn’t, just state — in simple terms — what the purpose is.
Or, just continue to be 34’s sycophant.
Or you could do both!
