Rain delay. I think Duke threw ONE pitch before Marissa went out there
to ask for the delay. Unbelievable.

I'm hearing from multiple sources that the teams wanted to start play earlier, but the ACC Network said "no."
So now the ACCN has filler for the rain delay.
Seems like they could have started play and just delayed the on-air broadcast, but that is probably too logical.

more often than not. Let alone the better umps and replay system and all the other stuff you posted about after your interview with the SEC Ump in Salem.

Wonder if they'll talk about behavior when Seth was ejected. One guy was inches from Seth. Moved the Crazies further from the sidecourt.

They forced Lemley to throw about 25-30
pitches in pouring rain. We lost the game (and the ability to host) because of it.
I thought Marissa was a bit quick there. I think the umpires could have denied her and said “play on” as they did in Boston.

yes, the umps didn't have to give it. I did not think it was a bit quick. It should have been done. It wasn't nefarious move to prevent VT from taking advantage of it. She also had nothing to do with the Clemson thing. It is what should have happened normally. And if Pete had delayed calling for it to see if we could take advantage of it, people would have said "unbelievable."
