The runner actually took a path to avoid the fielder ....
and may have adjusted her route even more if the fielder had kept coming forward. At higher levels (high school and college), the fielder would have just continued forward and allowed the contact to happen and then it is an obvious interference.

Agree, no call ....
distraction is irrelevant. Runners flash in front of the fielders all the time. I have never seen it called unless there is contact.

Over/under would be about 4.5 of the 2027 class ....
that VT would love to have back but we shall see who wants to come back first, how this year's class performs next year, and who also portals out to determine how many can come back.

It's not just the pitching as you stated.....
It's a mix of needing to hit better against the regional hosts and pitching well. This hitting issue was noticeable at the end of the regular season against the ACC teams (UVa and FSU) with the best pitching. Year after year, the VT hitting numbers are tremendous but it has not translated very well to the NCAAT.
Regional hump is a real thing. VT is 0-7 vs the regional hosts the last 4 years.

This has some influence, AUSL = major leagues and PSL = Triple A ....
minor leagues. I don't doubt that there were some coaching issues that impacted Cori.
It is hard to specifically quantify the comparison of the two leagues but numbers in the PSL really can't be totally compared to the AUSL as the best players (including pitchers) in the country are in the AUSL.
No doubt Cori is more comfortable this year and hopefully she can get another shot in the AUSL next year if that's what she wants to do.

if they started classes last year after his 19th birthday, then that would count as the "academic year after the 19th birthday:"

He will most likely get drafted ....
ESPN had him as a late 1st round pick if he had entered the draft back in April. Team will give up an equivalent pick based on where they draft him. Don't think he will get banned as there have been a couple of guys with the same gambling status and they were not punished by the NFL.

2020 - VT, FSU
FSU goes every year and it looks like they invite one other top ACC team each year. VT and/or Louisville are likely for 2027 along with FSU..
