I doubt it's a viable business longterm. OTOH I was impressed by what I saw on the AUSL telecast last night. Sephora is a great sponsorship tie-in for the league. There was a nice crowd in Durham. Not sure what the league's formal arrangement is with MLB but any is a plus.

I think the AUSL can be an enduring pro league. I am happy to see the PSL taking their shot too, but ultimately I hope to see their teams picked up by Athletes Unlimited. The sport needs all of their best in one league if it is going to survive. There are some great players in both leagues. The AUSL is better marketed, better managed, and has stronger corporate ties.
