They heard that and did not bother to listen to the rest of the press

conference. Franklin was very clear that they need to perform on the field. I know this is not from Penn State but since he was hired I have never seen a fired coach get so much attention from their former employer when they landed the next job. Its just like leaving your girlfriend and then stalking her every move. Only thing that tells me is that they are not confident that they made the right decision.

I have no idea if Hardin has done any wrong but Chris Graham is a certified

jack wagon. His stories are almost unbearable to read and he generally has no clue what he is talking about. I wish the guy would just go crawl in a hole somewhere and never come back out. Even in this case if the Hardin rumors do carry some weight his article is still awful.

My wife is the VP of our county youth sports league and is looking for

softball players to host a youth camp. Anyone know who or how to contact anyone at VT who could help?

We will see. Going the portal route every year could be hit or miss just

look at FSU. Sometimes it's hard to form a culture with 40 new players every year.

Hoos have an announced a major recruiting win over VT with the Zayvon

Miller commitment. They proclaim they are only going after the players worth getting to add to their portal recruits. They may be the biggest bunch of clowns I have ever seen.

I do not like either team very much but Texas Tech has been the center of

all the post season drama. At some point they are the problem not everyone else. I want to like Glasco because of his story but he makes it nearly impossible to do so. The known tampering with other teams players is also pretty bad but they are hardly the only ones doing it.

I think there are a few things. The obvious is consistent pitching.

VT has its moments of lights out performances but then has times that it seems like nothing is clicking. I think our staff has very talented pitchers but not sure what a coach can do keep them more consistent. The second thing I see is that the teams in the world series are hitting on all cylinders at the end of the year and for whatever reason VT does not. They look a step behind what they were earlier in the season. My guess is by the end they have traveled so much because of the lack of home games (No ones fault except Blacksburg's weather) that they are tired, plus things like final exams etc. do not help. Coach may need to try some different stuff to remedy this.

I was pulling fot Nebraska to win it all. I was not a huge Jordy fan at OU

but when she went back home I became a fan. Hell of a player. Congrats to her and her family.

Canady may be great but she whines worse than any pitcher I have ever seen

Constantly complains and throws a fit when a pitch is not called the way she thinks it should be. Would not have been mad to see the ump toss her for continuing to do it either.

Yea the hell with that guy. That was ridiculous. Hopefully the money

was worth it to play for him. Rooting hard against Texas Tech. Seen more drama involving them this year than any other team and at some point they are the common denominator.

Just saw where the former AD at Clemson, Terry Don Phillips passed away.

Never realized he was an assistant coach at VT and held his master's and PHD from VT as well. He may have made the move of the century promoting Dabo at a time that noone believed he was the guy.

I honestly think we had the pitching this year by the end of the season.

Problem was Bree was not healthy and Mazz was just struggling, maybe because she was trying to do too much with Bree not 100%. Thankfully Layton had come on super strong by the end of the year and looked great this past weekend. This staff had silenced UVA, Duke, and FSU the prior weekend, with Duke being some of the best bats in the country.

The team fought hard today but it just was not their day. I know Mazz did

not have the weekend she wanted but she is a big reason the team made it this far and won so many games. Hate that Bree was not 100% and could not be more impressed with how Layton played. Gonna miss the seniors but they did a whole lot of winning while they were here. Now its time for Pete to keep this team together and do it again next year.

No doubt. I know it has got to be hard to have a team ready to go

after getting smoked in your first game then sitting around for hours waiting for the next.

Great comeback and I am happy for the team. I still stand by my body

language comment. This team looked down and not interested for 6 innings. Its not the bad plays or the bad at bats its the walking off the field with their heads down and just the deer in the headlights look. Pete is the coach and he knows his team but sometimes I think some fire would be beneficial.

I like the all business approach but sometimes you need to light a fire

under your team and Pete does not seem to do that these days. I remember he got tossed against Kentucky in regionals and that fired the team up. He just seems too mellow right now.

Resources may keep us from getting to OKC but they have enough to get by

freaking Akron. Today aint about resources. Pete did not have his team ready to play in the least.

Body language looks bad. Nora walking off the field like she is

defeated after the pop up. Coach needs to be coach and get their heads in it.
