Well yeah, ND and maybe TAMU would be so fed up with kissing of the tea sipper's posterior they would want a move. After all what is 20 to 30 mill more a year to them? Otherwise I can't see any reason for the ACC not to just stand pat. Face it, the ACC has a slim and slimmer chance of being part of whatever the P2 is. So, the ACC, like the B12 and everybody else are going to be left behind. I don't think there is any way that once the big money is gone coast to coast conferences can stand. There are more than 4 teams in the ACC that there is no way they make it to the big pro league. They should vote their best interest as it is right now and that is to support GOR. A GOR payout may be the last significant money Cuse, BC, GT. Wake, Lville or Pitt may ever get.

FSU’s & Clemson’s public statements about not being satisfied in the ACC. The comments of further realignment to occur from college football insiders like Herbstreit, McAfee, and Finebaum. Clearly they are now talking about the schools in the ACC after the mass exodus from the PAC-12. What do they know that the rest of us don’t know? North Carolina State joining with North Carolina not to support any initiative including expansion that would make it more difficult to leave the ACC. It’s shocking to hear North Carolina State fans talking about joining other conferences after being founding members of the ACC back in the 50’s

I have heard FSU, Clemson, UNC & NC State, from many sources. The Monty Show says that Miami was the 4th ACC school, instead of NC State. Monty said the politics in the Miami area was very intolerant to those SF Bay people. I heard a Clemson Insider say several days ago that UVA & Virginia Tech were on the bubble in regards to that expansion vote. I saw several people that had Tech avatars on Twitter (X) declaring Tech was also voting against expansion. Those Virginia Tech supporters claimed contact to present & past Tech BOV members. If even some of all that is true. I think the feelings against expansion in the ACC is more widespread than is being reported. That would also somewhat explain why vote results are now just swept under the rug never being made public. I remember the SEC expansion votes. Always unanimous with everybody agreeable and on the same page. That helps the public perception of a happy conference membership. I remember when the Aggies were making public statements about being unhappy about Texas entering the SEC. Even reports that the Aggies were looking for negative voting partners in the SEC. There was never a public statement by the SEC front office. Not until the SEC front office reported that there was a unanimous vote accepting both Texas & Oklahoma.

At this point, I place more trust in the Mighty Python comedy troupe than the Monty Show. The politics quote is suspect too because the area in Florida that would relate most closely to the San Francisco Bay area is south Florida (Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties).

... remember a "formal" vote will only take place once the Commissioner knows he has all the votes needed to pass the formal invite. That's why there have been several "straw" or "informal" votes in order to gage the opposition.

Just kidding about the national perceprion of Arkansas. I guess the perception has something to do with the Ozarks up north. There is definitely a perception of Western Virginia and VT that we must endure. I have heard all of the VT jokes. I try to laugh about these perceptions, because to get defensive just plays into them even more.

Our river is even miss pronounced as Ar-Kansas. I have been in west Kansas where you can wade across the Arkansas River with your pant legs slightly rolled up. It becomes huge in Oklahoma and a heavy current over 1/2 mile wide at Little Rock. Arkansas and the river got their name from an Indian word meaning upstream people. That is not open to interpretation by Kansans. Even when they use to be part of my kinfolk. My now deceased older sister married a Kansan. I do have a warm spot for those Kansas plains. Just joking with you as I use to do with my relatives.

I remember a sister that had spent some time on the west coast. She talked of chicken costing more in a Little Rock grocery store than in LA. Poultry houses all over NW Arkansas. I use to drive trucks up there and use to see those numerous poultry huge buildings in NW Arkansas. Housing is cheap here compared to Virginia, Texas and many other regions of the country. I remember a sister was paying nearly $3,000 monthly on an apartment in Arlington, Virginia. Not even that nice an apartment, it was government subsidized housing. Most tenants paid a tiny percentage of what my sis was paying. She had a high government clearance, I can not even state her job title here. I have some acreage about 40 miles north of Little Rock. I lived up there rural for nearly 30 years. I have gotten at least a dozen mailed offerings from reality companies wanting to buy my property since the Covid Lockdowns. Most reality companies making those offers are from the Northeast. My property was worth $5,000 an acre in the late 1970's. I know those reality companies would not even pay that. They use to say that new changes in society bounce back & forth off the east & west coast for a decade before they finally land in Arkansas. I am an advanced record collector along with several other hobbies. I use to collect psychedelia, rock & metal. Along with the AOR & Euro Metal sub genies in music. I am surely the only Euro Metal collector in Arkansas. I sell records these days. I have four mailings scheduled to go out tomorrow so far. All except one going to California, it is going to Florida. I sell about 75% to California. The rest to the Northeast, up around the Great Lakes, then a few to Florida & Texas. I did send one to Georgia. One went to Oklahoma, a Van Halen record. I have never sold a record in five years to Alabama, Mississippi or Louisiana. I have not ever sold one to anybody in Arkansas.

However just relating what is going on in the expansion world outside of this board. I lot of internet sites reporting on those dang votes. I think it is laughable. I guess ACC homers just cannot be amused by such.
