Good for Addy…

That leaves a big hole in the outfield in addition to Gabby probably moving to 2nd base. Who do we have that can take those 2 outfield slots? Are there any strong incoming transfers or incoming freshmen ready to take those slots without losing any productivity?

I hope that Pete does an in-depth study…

Of the players, the coaches, and himself during the off season. I’m not sure what needs to change, but something does. Our playoff record is stuck on underperforming. Next year’s team should be strong, but the underperforming needs to change or it will be more of the same.

Remember the 2022 super regional at home?

We played Florida, and beat them in the first game. We were feeling invincible as LSU probably is right now. All we had to do is win one of the two games the next day. We knew that we were better than Florida. The next day, Florida won two games in a row to take the World Series berth. They popped our bubble. If Florida can do it, so can we.

It looks like we are taking close pitches…

…in an attempt to make the pitcher throw strikes. This is a different approach from past “junk ball” pitchers. Maybe it will work in the umpire doesn’t call too many outside strikes.

What kind of pitchers are the UVa pitchers?

If they are power pitchers, good for us. If they are spin pitchers with good drops, it might be a bit more difficult for us.
