Poll question - Are you dreading or looking forward to the Duke game?
Personally, I just can’t invest much energy in a program that is going in the wrong direction. I will watch, but I won’t be sad if we lose. Disgusted would be a more accurate description.

one could spell absolute offseason doom that contributes to a horrid 2025 roster that leads to an inevitable coach firing after next season. Two wins in a row garners enough momentum, keeps the wolves away, and may even make VT a more reasonable destination for portal transfers, etc. which could save next year a bit. We shall see...
When is the earliest we can financially afford to fire Pry and, in that offseason, will JMU's coach and most of his staff be available to take over?

...there is SOOOOOO much clinically at stake... aye, Eye am up for this 1.
This one could ver well be a 2'fer folks.
They win @Duke and uva is a very managable match-up.
@Duke however is an ODDball match-up; and how much longer can cheerleader1 hold on?

At least with the collapse under Fuente there was hope for the future. This feels different and more permanent to me.

A Duke win would be good to settle the bowl-bid, get that sixth win.
Hoos not assuming uva stumbles and bumbles into and out of Lane stadium?
Let’s beat the Blue Devils!

It's time for our seniors to step up and drag the rest of the team to victory!

with a win. And a win over Duke and UVa puts us in a position to potentially finish the season with 8 wins and continue the upward trajectory. We’re obviously not a playoff team, and I don’t think any reasonable person honestly thought we’d be this season. But there’s still a lot to play for.

I guess I am a glutton for punishment. That being said I don't expect us to win nor do I get emotionally invested like in years passed

Part of what makes college football exciting is the uncerainty of the outcome. I don't want to watch us play a high school team or an NFL team, as the outcome is pre-determined.
Now against Duke and UVA, the possibilities are anywhere between 0-2 and no bowl game and 2-0 with a bowl game. I am curious to see how it all plays out.

in the evening. Otherwise I'll be 🦌 hunting, I think it will be a one score game so VT has about an 8% chance of winning. I'm more dreadful of getting a flat tire on 81 than the football game outcome.

Look forward to which helps us forget the things we do dread for about 3 hours. I get to watch with my kids and enjoy that time.
Interesting that in a situation where somebody has a choice to do something that they dread vs anything else…they would choose to do what they consider dreadful.

Watched them all with my 95 year old mother.
Looking forward to seeing our teams play. Women's Soccer knock Tenn out.
I mean I bleed maroon win or lose. I figured it take 5 years to recenter the FB program anyway.
And if not we are still watching

I don't see any progress in VT's program, so I'm basically at lowest common demoninator.
