Montgomery must change , stop throwing the ball or change qbs.

Drones is good for 15 throws a game. Tech should run the balance of plays. Drones needs to be used like haynes king of gt. Run him and backs til you open up the pass. The Wofford win while throwing 30 passes is not going to happen again.

Could Montgomery make better decisions?

If I believed so, yes I would make a change at the top position. 4 and 1/2 years is plenty of time for evaluation of coaching talent in current climate of college football.

Montgomery has been a head coach

Whit will pull the trigger if pry ****s the bed in the first half of the season. Try to save his own ass

Will Montgomery fit to drones play or will drones adapt to Montgomery?

I don't personally see drones skills being a great fit for how Montgomery has schemed in the past. I do feel that Montgomery is an upgrade in oc scheme. Never understood our game plans in last couple years. We seemed to use games as trials of to figure out what will work. Game plans definitely were not ready for teams we played.

Bruce is a great person

Played basketball with him and other players regularly, and hung out at parties. Super nice to everyone. Saw him before Purdue game in Indiana, came up to me and talked with all of us like he always did, 30 plus years later. I don't see him screwing anyone in business. I am sure he is doing well because he is a nice person

Let's give this guy on the link below a spot on tech's roster. Form tackle

Our Qb running Montgomery system has been my concern from start

Hopefully our road graders can run block their ass off, or our defense will get to show every scheme seifkus has in his arsenal. We may need 8 d lineman to change out with our defense on the field constantly. I think Montgomery has a good system, but I don't see drones running it effectively.

Recruiting is not the issue. It is coaching. Hopefully the new oc and dc

Will change the wins and losses going forward. Maybe Montgomery can be in charge of timeouts and decisions that win ball games

Defensive effort.if your offense gives the ball to your opponent

In your territory, it is easy to score. I will say that I thought the defense did well considering our coughing up the ball

A sad state of football

When va tech has to be worried whether it can beat odu. We have stooped into a cauldron of mediocrity

Talent does not overcome toughness

You can be talented, but get pushed all over a football field.

5 an 0 start?

Rutgers and Miami will have a say about that. I want tech to have a great year, but if they beat either of these 2 opponents, it will be their first win against a good team in the pry Era. Must learn how to win against good teams. Baby steps to hopefully a good 8 and 4 or 9 and 3 year.

It's football

Somebody better have a bad attitude, and bad intentions. Otherwise it's grab ass

Talking the talk

Now gotta walk the walk. ( got to figure out how to beat good teams)

Clay corner thiefs

My wife took 2 potential hokies and their families up and they had 3 rooms for 2 nights. Charged my wife 2 times. She had to get her credit card to reimburse. Straight up thievery. Articles are out on this bunch

Hokie new uniforms

Does either make lbs and safeties tackle and fit gaps better? If so, I am all in. Otherwise, couldn't give a crap

Thanks for the reply.

I would like to know if you think tech is ready to win, can they beat a good team or 2? Winning is easy against dogs, but you gotta be able to exploit and scheme against real teams. Can pry and marve coach up this group of backers? Jenkins can hold his own, but not sure about the rest of the lost boys. Is the o line going to be a liability, or will they have just enough talent? the bowen/Davis option look seems to cure some of their ills. The read/isolation game has evolved since game 4 of last year. Safety, do we have enough ? Seems thin, but maybe jones and Phillips can turn the corner. I know you have great knowledge about tech, and the game. I would live to hear your thoughts. Thank you so much, and go hokies

Would love to hear your insights

But I don't understand what you are trying to convey. Are you writing to yourself? No disrespect, just would really like to follow your thoughts and insights into the program we all love.

Tech needs to win when some tough games

Tech beat up on underdogs last year when drones got his legs and Bowen learned how to call a game. We got punched in the mouth at ncsu and Louisville, and did not respond well. Our line play was outmatched on both sides of ball, and our line backers looked like they were asleep. I think the Rutgers game will tell us if we can handle tough line play. They are a disciplined team. Even though not highly ranked. Hoping that tech can learn how to win the tough ones. 8 and 4 will be a successful season ** Edited by budforpresident at 6/12/2024, 5:38:22 PM

Tech should win 8 games

Don't think they are ready for winning the conference. Last year's Louisville game showed that we were outgunned at most positions, and nowhere near their level of football. Need to learn how to beat good teams this year, not just beat up on creampuffs. Go hokies

We should get 1 win by our coaching staff making better decisions.

Feel like we left a win or 2 on the field last year through inadequate coaching
