We’ve been on a role. I’m willing to believe he’s a good pickup. He hasn’t lead an athletic department with a P4 football program. But he’s a great fundraiser and had good overall success at FAU.

A miniature pony might be a mule
I am highly optimistic as always. This is the best Star-ranking recruiting ever (#14 was the previous best). I’m all in if James Franklin is he’ll-bent on proving he’s a better ball coach then curt Cignetti. He’s certainly much more likable. As a Hokies alum and fan, I don’t see why anyone would choose to go elsewhere. Blacksburg is the best. I can’t wait for practice to start in August. Expectations have been raised. Let’s go!

I’m thinking more, but all white is always dangerous. She’s a wolf.

1281 OPS for Lynch
That is an insane number, especially for a third baseman. Jordan’s fielding numbers are pedestrian. But her offensive prowess overruled any defensive concern

I imagine it comes down to controlling whom the next President will be
Rockovich is a long-time Hokie and has an impressive resume, but he aligns more closely with the previous administration. I’m sure she knows it doesn’t make political sense to offend Hokies Nation, but she is a Hoo. Virginia Tech overall however will not enjoy being a political football.

Look at her team’s game lineups
Emmanuel typically has four guards and a post player. She had a couple of games where she lead the team in scoring, and one in rebounds. But overall, she’s a shooting guard, but at 5-11 she can contribute as a wing or 3 guard.

That depends on how much natural ability a person has and how fast a
Learner they are. Watch middle school and high school basketball and when a coach switches from M2M to zone.
I’ll make a jump and say everybody playing in the NCAA tournament should be able to switch M2M to zone, and of course different types of zones.
But we also know that can be an overstatement. There is always a weak link.

I like the commercial of a group watching a game
And a frustrated fan running head first and destroying his big screen TV.
Being chill and having restraint and
Perspective is wise. The sun will rise the next day.

Illinois will play the winner of the Duke/UConn game
The Duke/uconn game will be another epic matchup. I don’t see the Illini faring well against either team.

Yeah, need some containers , dockers and kubernetes.
I’m more inclined to go the azure cloud route. But AWS and Google have strong cloud solutions. Cloud is one thing. The next is before long, AI will have all of the answers and consume all of the knowledge built on the World Wide Web. On that world, you want to be one of the guys paid to keep the AI running and/or the guy that can pull the plug.

Maybe. But it’s a small bit of heaven when you’re been numbed to death by peanut butter and grape jelly since the beginning of the school year.

I was thinking 99
There was much angst about qb in the winter of 99. Those in the know would wink, smile, and say “well be aight”
Thinking back it was amazing how little
Information was out there on how good Vick would be.
That said, although we lack game experience entering 2026, the QB room is full of potential. Much more then we had in recent years

Value is only what someone is willing to pay
That’s not to say college athletes don’t deserve fair compensation. But the dollar amounts being thrown about are a better reflection of athletic boosters desperation to have a winning team. That is leading to unsustainable NIL value inflation

Thankfully as a mature mid-50s Hokie, I’m no longer bothered by them. It’s the point Melville had reached I believe, or he was calling for a Civil War

The Hoos had 31 graduate students and 21 seniors on their roster
In comparison the Hokies had seven graduate students and 11 seniors. Penn State had zero graduate students and 22 seniors.
It’s an interesting thing to look at. Elliott went out and found college graduates that still had football eligibility.

I think the SEC is the only party in the equation
That wants to limit the CFP to the P2. The SEC wants that. But the schools still want G5 teams to travel to their school to get throttled as a warm-up prior to their conference championship game. The ACC, AAC, big 12 and Notre Dame are all at the table and outnumber the P2. Nick Saban wants James Madison out. But as stated, the little guys all still have a seat at the table, and have anti-trust law backing them up. Question remains how the G5 fits in future CFP alignment.

It was really two unnecessary interceptions thrown
By Oregon’s future first-round pick QB that destroyed the over -20.5 bet. They both resulted in JMU points and give the Dukes reason not to quit.

Virginia isn’t the best
But it’s it’s clearly among the top
10 to 15.
Clearly Texas, California and Florida will always be better. Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan are strong. Virginia is
In the discussion from there.

JMU will have to balance its books some day
They have ridden student fees to a CFP appearance. But they’ve become a rotating door for coaches. They have to expand their stadium to be an FBS-caliber stadium. They have to generate NIL money. And how crazy is it that students are paying $4000+ a year to fund athletics while the athletes are taking in NIL payment. The goal for JMU is to be a successful FBS athletic program. They’re off to a great start. But the university lacks a deep generous donor base to sustain what they’ve started

This is way everyone has to complete those sexual harassment and sensitivit
Trainings every year. At some point in life, hopefully very early in adult life, men have to stop acting and thinking link a 16-year old. Moore quickly worked his way up the coaching ladder, but looks like he’s thrown it all away.

Wasn’t Owens converted to food court style around 91 to 93?
I mostly ate in Schultz in 87 to 89, then moved off campus. Once I moved off campus, the thought of the dining halls were not appealing.
The options now however, the kids are spoiled.

Not before they smack Virginia Tech harshly in 1987
Not the death penalty, but it took Virginia Tech three years to recover from a three year penalty.
The NCAA steered away from future bad apples like Miami, North Carolina, PED State and others

Ayden Greene was also out for the Hokies
But thank goodness Drones hit Snook Peterkin deep for a touchdown. Peterkin has wheels.
I expect big overhaul of the roster to begin this week.
Football Board

No it doesn’t
For whatever reason, the Pry experiment didn’t work. I’d start with to much turnover with coordinators and lackluster recruiting. We can blame Drones, but he was better than the other QB’s on the roster.
We’ll see what happens to Pop, but my guess is he’s too small to be an FBS QB.
Take what UVa just did. Elliott found a sixth year QB in the portal that could run des Kitchens offense.

Rivals and ESPN started publishing star ratings between 2000
and 2003.. some Recruiting services might have had Star ratings. But in 1998 when Vick signed, the de facto standard in Virginia was Doug Doughty’s Too 25 recruiting ranking in the Roanoke Times.
1998 proved to be a very good class for the Hokies, signing six of the top 11 players in the state. Vick was the #3 player and we can assume in today’s star rankings, he would have been a 4-star recruit
Football Board
8 mo ago
I’d guess it was the 2008 class with 8 4-star recruits
The class was ranked #16 nationally.
That said, star rankings are only about 25 years old. So their were some good classes like 1995 and 1998 that have rankings.

Franklin's goal is to win a National Championship. VT's on a mission to win
one too. We'll see how it works out. ultimately it comes down to the money.
