For your amusement, Brit teen boys try American sandwiches
My friend shared this. Hits my warped sense of humor. Sending my thoughts to Mike K out there somewhere, who ate a fluffernutter everyday of 7th and 8th grades. We’d count down the days til summer break saying how many nutters Mike had left.

Great critique from a land that gives us beans for breakfast
Lived and worked in the UK. Best thing I ate there was at NY Pizza in the mess at the JAC. I do like a good pub fish and chips, and some of the "game pot pie" and mutton dishes were tolerable. I actually grew fond of how venison is served there, You simple cannot good coffee in the UK. Anyone who disses peanut butter is cracked. My parents raised my nephew, who was taking all kind of supplements to gain weight and strength in HS, and he asked my dad what I took in HS. The answer: peanut butter sandwich between every meal and before bedtime. Correct.

My godparents move to Hamburg in the early ‘70s. I’d bring peanut butter
and boxes of Bazooka bubble gum for the family on visits

“It’s like condensed milk or paint”
Maybe. But it’s a small bit of heaven when you’re been numbed to death by peanut butter and grape jelly since the beginning of the school year.
