The Yankees have a very high payroll but that only won 1 world series in like 25 years.
It's not completely about the $, it's spending the $ on the right players.
Then it comes to games coaching. And U of V has won a ton of close games even when playing bad competition. Like Notre Dame.
Our game coaching has not been as good.
