Posting History (149)

More research shows Renfrow threw at least 104 pitches in 5

Of his last 7 appearences including 112 vs Cal and 104 vs Clemson. 4 of those 100 plus pitch games were in a row. VT held him out for two weeks hoping his arm would bounce back . He threw 94 vs Ucla. I am positive he was suffering from a tired arm.

I think Renfro was out with a tired arm. In his last 5 starts he

Had thrown at least 100 pitches. I have seen it happen with multiple college pitchers this year. The arm is sore and it doesn’t bounce back after several days off. Unreliable bullpen makes a coach throw his starters longer than he should. A 34 pitch first inning certainly did not help today .

To be honest, i was not 100 per cent certain . But pretty close. VT’s

Last month was huge and I like that VT is playing to win the whole damn ACC crown. The Hokies have improved dramatically in the last 30 days. Maybe they can ride the wave and win the league . Ethan and Logan have a chance to be top 2 round picks if they continue to develop .

The way it worked out, only Logan and maybe Crowl

Won’t be available for UNC. Baseball is about matchups and their was no need to waste Brent vs ND. . If VT can get 7 strong innings from their starter vs UNC good things can happen..

Nice job by the Hokies. I had no idea Notre Dame was that bad.

No wonder VT felt they did not need to throw their ace to beat the Irish. Now the Hokies have their best pitcher to throw vs #2 UNC. Plus the squeeze bunts were great, ND had no idea they were coming. Tech got two free runs. This team is maturing , hopefully the off continues against Carolina. There are some seriously talented players developing for VT, hopefully VT can keep them.

With all the money VT is spending at the moment, they are not going to

Buy out the baseball coach . There are many more important places to spend it.

VT will

add more players. Alot of business is done in the summer leagues. Plus a new pitching coach should bring a couple of hurlers with him.

They few from VCU won’t be able to get in.

Vcu’s best player this season had a deal with Villanova, but his credits would not transfer.

Dave Odom is 82 years old and retired

Ryan Odom who i assume is what you meant will be in third year at VCU.

In Georgia high school football coaches are full time football coaches

And receive a full time salary. Morgan i believe is making 6 figures in GA. In Virginia football coaches teach as well as coach and receive a stipend. The stipend is minimal and does not begin to cover the number of hours required to coach.

We have D1 pitchers, VT has multiple kids who throw low to mid 90’s . What

The pitchers don’t have is any confidence what so ever. They expect the worst to happen and it does. Need somebody to break the mold and deliver a strong performance.
