Hard Days Night (Soundtrack Version) is excellent and the only USA release

to not be released by Capitol before Apple records became a thing. It was instead released by United Artists.

Why replace the playing of Tech Triumph with the Alma Mater at the end

Especially when no one knows the Alma Mater? I went four years at Tech and never heard it played or referenced by anyone. It is too slow and almost the antithesis to a gameday experience in Lane. To me, Tech Triumph is the Alma Mater.

No we cannot

We could take over the MAC or PAC, that way it’s more of a rebuild and no hard feelings over Virginia Tech rivalries.

Will anyone be getting CFB 27?

If so, would a TSL dynasty league be in anyone's interest?

She should purchase from Apple but wait a month

So this is the process I would recommend: Wait for Apple to announce their back-to-school special. This special in recent years is a gift card that you can use on a purchase immediately afterwards but not for the computer. If you purchase a Mac, it was either $ 150 or $ 250 when I purchased my MacBook Pro in 2024. I would look into using that gift card for an iPad or other useful accessory. Also, if you have the Apple Card, you get 3% back on the purchase if you use that to pay. Also, when buying through Apple, you get a discount on Apple Care when using the education discount. Additionally, if you want Apple Care, the options are monthly and for a 2-year set. There is also a blanket $20 a month offer which allows you to have three items on Apple Care. If she has a phone and an iPad, I would recommend that. If you need to use Apple Care for the computer, Apple will send you a box to mail it to them since the closest Apple store is not close. I don’t remember if the bookstore is an Apple-authorized repair, but if they are, they could repair under the Apple Care warranty.

He is just amazing

The other night when he tried to go for 100k and could afford to get it wrong and still be in first place is crazy

The biggest problem is that most NCAA schools are state schools

And that brings every state and their rules on collective bargaining by state employees into the debate. Some states will amend so they can get a leg up, but it will be a process.

If you would be interested in participating

Please reach out to me at [email protected] I can accommodate your schedule if you’re not in Blacksburg during the Spring Game or Commencement. I’ll be returning to Virginia for the summer after completing my spring semester of law school in Pennsylvania and will be more free to travel within the Commonwealth.

Please do still reach out

Please do still reach out to me at [email protected], even if you are unable to be in Blacksburg on those dates, as we can make some form of arrangement for an interview.

Hello, my name is Stratis Bohle, and I am the one behind this project. I would love to interview those of you who were at Virginia Tech at any point before Frank Beamer became the head coach or grew up in the area before then. If you fit this description, you would be an ideal interviewee. These interviews will be conducted in collaboration with TSL, so you’ll have the opportunity to contribute and ensure that your memories of the rivalry and your time at VT are both preserved in the Virginia Tech Archives and get to be in a TSL YouTube video. Hope to hear from you all soon. ** Edited by The_Stratman at 3/27/2026, 1:46:04 PM

Oh I misread that

There is no way they could hold that many rooms for that weekend on the off chance we host them if they are required to be close to Blacksburg. If they could get away with it, I could see some hotels in Roanoke hosting these teams.

Graduation is enough of a ****show for hotels. Can’t imagine a regional too

They already have the dorms being rented out to families, which historically sell out. I can't imagine the demand if we somehow hosted that weekend. I don't see us hosting as realistic, but it could happen since they could tell the inn to hold the 30 rooms and then only release them for booking to the waitlist once the schedule is released. However, I don’t even think they would have the foresight to block off those rooms a year in advance when they go on sale unless they do it every year and we don’t know.

Hall of Famer Darrell Green taking field for USA flag football trials at 66

He would be the oldest Olympian in over 100 years if he makes the national team. Also, how in the world are his numbers still that good that he can qualify to be one of the 100 at the national team trials?

Take that nap

I didn’t take a nap when I flew into Atlanta before a conference. I instead wanted to see the first Chick-fil-A. It was worth it, but I was so sleep deprived I was very groggy the next day.

One of the few teams that didnt retire but effectively did was the Redskins

This caused issues. When they drafted Dwayne Haskins, he wanted #7. #7 had been last worn by Joe Theismann and hadn’t been worn by anyone since he retired after his leg injury. That was no problem for Danny Boy, who pressured Joe to allow Dwayne to wear the number. Mr. Haskins was cut in his second year for acting like an idiot, in addition to not playing well. That helped spark the number retirement spree that they have been on the past few years. Now they have like 6 numbers retired after having only 1 for 50 years (for Sammy Baugh #33). One number that was never soft-retired was #17. That was worn famously by Doug Williams in the Super Bowl. It currently is worn by "Scary" Terry McLaurin, and was worn before Doug by Billy Kilmer in the 70s who took the Skins to Super Bowl VII. This has allowed famous players to have the same number and be seen throughout the stadium. ** Edited by The_Stratman at 3/18/2026, 1:46:16 PM

Possible changes to the VTCC in light of ODU and Iran

With the attack on the ROTC program at ODU, I took the time to reach out to an old friend who is still in the Corps to see if anything was said by the VTCC leadership to the cadets. He informed me that the Corps has had police at all formations and any event where the Corps is in uniform since the stuff with Iran started. Additionally, the freshman rats are now allowed to be off campus without a uniform because they don’t want them off campus in uniform to be a potential target. I am very curious to see how the Corps is going to operate since it looks like the shooter at ODU was looking for the ROTC class as his target. This could also change how Ring Dance goes in two weeks.

Yup!

Bought the facsimiles they did last year since it would be insane to do it with the originals for multiple reasons, including cost and destruction of such an important book for a bookshelf piece.

I've been making my own

You can buy the reprints of the comics, or the originals for the stuff from the late 80s and 90s that are basically dollar books. Once you have a run that you want, you take it to a binder and have them make it into a nice leather book for the shelf. Recently, I completed the issue collection of the first dozen issues of Fantastic Four, Secret Wars from 1984, and the Phoenix Saga. Expensive but very nice to have them all in a similar design on the shelf.

Okay

I must have missed something when they updated the score.

I think The ACC network has the wrong score

They gave an extra point during that last free throw attempt for UVA. Maybe I missed something, but they made 1 of 2 and got 2 points added.

No

Part of the actions that they are punishing would be struck down as an illegal restraint of trade on the student athletes, in my opinion. I specifically think this applies to the penalties on the coaching staff and school for rostering a student who transferred without entering the portal. It’s a roundabout way of prohibiting transfers outside the portal.

Collegiate Times FOIA request of revenue-sharing agreement denied

The Collegiate Times put out an op-ed written by their sports editor and TSLer Sam Mostow in which he announced that VT refused to release information relating to "all signed contracts between Virginia Tech and its NCAA-affiliated student-athletes signed since July 1, 2025" and called for more transparency in collegiate athletics. In my opinion, this information should be public because they are being paid much more than a lot of employees of Virginia Tech, and their money comes from VT students with the student fee.

How much damage did the Big East's refusal to grant full membership do?

I mean in reference to basketball. It was always interesting to me that we weren’t able to join until we were looking at the ACC and made our way to the other hoops conference with a football problem. Obviously, I wasn’t around for it, but I feel like if we were able to be a full member from the beginning, the program would have improved from the 90s and not when we were in the ACC.

I never suggested that we need to replace or supplant the engineers.

I was just saying that we need a law school so that law alumni become judges, and we have an advantage like what happened with Trinidad Chambliss. That judge at one point cried.

Oh, our attorneys are more than adequate.

I was just saying that we need judges who are VT alumni so they can rule in our favor while crying about how they love Tech. Like what happened down south.
