This makes the most sense. It's supposed to be motor racing, not...

a test bed for car companies to figure out how to make new technology work. Sustainable fuels should have been the focus instead of 50-50 electrification.

Here's how it is: The Earth got used up, so we moved out and...

terraformed a whole new galaxy of Earths, some rich and flush with the new technologies, some...not so much. The Central Planets, them was formed the Alliance, waged war to bring everyone under their rule; a few idiots tried to fight it, among them myself. I'm Malcolm Reynolds, captain of Serenity. She's a transport ship, Firefly class. Got a good crew: fighters, pilot, mechanic. We even picked up a preacher for some reason, and a bona fide Companion. There's a doctor too, took his genius sister out of some Alliance camp, so they're keeping a low profile, you understand. You got a job, we can do it, don't much care what it is.

Can’t tell if this is a McLaren resurgence, a Mercedes hiccup, a…

regulation change shaking up the order, or just racing. Let’s see what happens tomorrow I guess. Hope for rain.

I can’t blame him. A driver wants to go as fast as the car will go,

right on the edge of the envelope. You have to manage the car during a race, considering tire wear and fuel loads, but in qualifying they want to hang it all out. FIA seemed to have admitted, off camera and off record, that the 50-50 power split was too ambitious and needed to make another step before going that route. Look for some changes between now and Miami GP.

I wonder how much turmoil was really going on at RBR the last few years.

Behind the scenes, I mean. Newey leaves, Wheatley leaves, Horner gets sacked, GP gets promoted away from Max (but quickly comes back), and Marko gets his retirement papers-like it or not. Is someone behind all this? It's more than a little curious. What's the saying, why does a rat get off a ship?

McLaren didn't dig themselves out of the basement without knowing....

a thing or two about car design. They've studied the Mercedes data now and have probably figured out how to extract the optimum power from the PU. Chassis mods will come next. Oscar said that they need more downforce and Mercedes has got that part sorted out. Hope to soon see a legit fight at the front because I don't think Ferrari have anything to bring to the battle but a quick launch. Really odd that Red Bull (read:Max) are struggling in Japan. I'd expect Max to be a second ahead of Hadjar by Quali, but the car doesn't seem to fit Suzuka.
