Can play Olympic sports in all major eastern and midwestern cities. They can play for the Big East championship in the Garden yearly. Should decrease travel expenses. I can’t see the Big Ten or SEC doing a scheduling arrangement but if they pull it off, good for them. Who do you believe would join with them? ND would certainly be able to bring whoever they wanted.

SEC- UNC, UVa, Clemson and FSU. Just like SwimSwam years ago. B1G- ND and Miami Also says this has about a 1% chance of happening. Also says Duke is trying to buy their way into P2 with their deep pockets and may not take any revenue to once there. Again Greg is. Big Ten guy and dreams of ND joining. With multiple members going to the SEC and Big Ten the future of the ACC will depend on Notre Dame. If the Irish go to the Big Ten then the ACC is toast. If they stay the ACC will add new members that ND approves of and move forward. ** Edited by Millpoint at 7/26/2025, 9:28:49 PM

It just looks suspicious that Bubba Cunningham is the chair and receives $100K+ bonus for Carolina's selection. The main reason the committee used for our exclusion was Tucker DeVries' injury. He's been out since December. Although this is not our best team we were on all 111 metrics that predicted this year's teams. It's probably moot because Coach DeVries looks like he may be the next coach at Indiana. You could just as easily argue that Texas and Xavier (among others) also didn't deserve to get in. Oh well someone always gets screwed. I know it's every Big Ten fantasy to add the Irish but ultimately ND will do what's best for ND. He seems to have toned that down a bit from the past.

On his YouTube show "Peak Around The Corner" Greg speculated that if the B1G and SEC establish a scheduling agreement that UNC could lead the rest of the Magnificent 7 (VT, UVa, NC St, Clemson, FSU and Miami) plus three other schools to dissolve the ACC. No timeline given but most likely sometime in 2025. It comes from his Big Ten source and a UNC "money perch". Duke was mentioned as one of the three schools that would join M7. He does not know the other two schools but did mention something about Syracuse however didn't elaborate much about it. There would be private equity involvement and the new conference would take their media rights to market. Streaming would most likely be heavily involved and I assume ESPN would be as well. If this happens it will be led by UNC AD Bubba Cunningham. There is much speculation that if a scheduling agreement between the P2 happens it may force ND into joining the B1G. Greg has speculated for a long time that UNC wants to join the P2 (most likely SEC) but there are too many obstacles that prevent that from occurring. Utah feels they should be in the B1G and their invitation is soon to arrive (according to them). They were very happy in the Pac 12 and feel like they've "lowered" themselves to join the Big 12. I love how just about everyone had them winning the Big 12 this year. So far they are 1-5 in the conference. Maybe they can join the new Pac12 or ACC whenever they can get out. But Greg Flugaur reported last night that things are looking more favorable for UConn to possibly get enough support to get a Big 12 bid later this year or next. Apparently a previous no vote school in Texas has now flipped to yes and there are other factors that is making it more favorable for UConn. I guess we'll see. I thought Oliver Luck and Weaver had an agreement to play on a yearly basis. No idea what happened? I remember playing a couple of bball games a few years ago but that’s it.

Just a rumor at this point but may be something to watch for. It would give the PAC a chance for eastern time slot for games. Huskies would stay in the Big East for everything else and Gonzaga would also join PAC for everything except football. We shall see.

UNLV is now reevaluating their options. Apparently their commitment to the Mountain West was dependent on eight MW schools staying together. Now that’s changed because Utah State has defected to the PAC. Such a rollercoaster.

Also add UTSA, Tulane, Memphis and USF. Cal and Stanford in the Atlantic Coast Conference. South Florida in the Pacific 12 Conference. Makes perfect sense.

Will never have a football program and geography it doesn’t work well. Also an argument can be made that when Few retires they slip back a bit. At least UConn is a state school that can claim a portion of the NYC market. Hard pass on the Zags.

I’d look for Gonzaga to join the Big East to replace UConn.

And the Pac 12 refused their offer. I believe this led to their demise. The Big 12 was more than willing to play ball with ESPN and Fox so they won out.

I'm guessing it would be beneficial for the the Big Ten Network plus adding to their geographical footprint. I don't really see how Clemson is helpful to either P2 conference unless somehow they bring in the Atlanta market for the B1G. I would love to see Clemson in the Big 12 but I could care less about FSU.
