Someone said BYU and Utah are oil and water. Well here we go.
This is not high on the sportsmanship scale. I'm not sure what happened in the game. Some kind of penalty that gave BYU a first down after a 4th down sack.

Utah feels they should be in the B1G and their invitation is soon to arrive (according to them). They were very happy in the Pac 12 and feel like they've "lowered" themselves to join the Big 12. I love how just about everyone had them winning the Big 12 this year. So far they are 1-5 in the conference. Maybe they can join the new Pac12 or ACC whenever they can get out. As a WVU fan I'd like to see them gone and replaced with UConn.

to have new schools absolutely excited to be in the B12 when they expanded with their first 4. When the PAC imploded, Colorado and Arizona were excited to be in the B12.
Arizona State and Utah, both fans and administrators, continue to look down on the B12. if they are so high and mighty, i say let them go. Pretty sure the ACC wouldn't mind the pick ups, but that is just me talking.
I'll take UConn any day of the week.

of officiating in the B12 that seemed to favor teams in a position to get a BCS playoff bid. In the past, there were complaints about Texas and OU getting favorable officiating to keep them in the running for a national championship.
I say this without knowing what happened in that game. That being said, this will only elevate that rivalry, and if Utah doesn't want to be in the B12, maybe the ACC can make a move for them.

The ACC not until 2036 for now. I think it all depends on the contract negotiations, as the B12 is in a position to get another raise long before the ACC contract is up. We all know there are a lot of moving pieces that could change the ACC, but until we know any of that for sure, any team in the B12 could change conferences when the B12 contract is up.
Utah could end up in the ACC, as they clearly think they are better than many institutions in the B12.

Got his from Flugaur podcast: SEC and B1G are asking ESPN and Fox for new media contracts. Might seem like the TV guys would say "Absolutely not! A BILLION per year is enough." But SEC & B1G are getting generous overtures from streamers (Amazon, Apple, etc.) and the TV networks are nervous about it.

both sides expect to reach a settlement. They have an agreement to keep any settlement quiet until FSU and/or Clemson has an opportunity to find a new resting place.

do you know what amount of money to settle on without knowing what you are getting from the new conference? I would love to know where he is getting this from? Not necessarily the person, but if it’s from B12 podcasters or the PAC who want the ACC to blow up so they can swoop in, or the people that predicted June 30th or August 1st of this year etc. for them announcing when and where they are going!?!?
Heck, some said they would be playing an independent schedule this year. Okay Greg no names, but at least say where these people are working.

who have been reliable for him in the past. As for having a place to go, that's the idea of the delay in announcing anything. This amount of vague info means that the settlement may have already been reached and FSU is shopping for a new conference today. Of course, all the silence from the parties could just mean that they are still arm wrestling. But who can really say?

1. College Student FB League, a 136 member super-league.
2. "Project Rudy", a 72 member super-league (FBS)
3. The SEC/B1G Advisory Group. (With support from ESPN & Fox. Notre Dame is excluded.
These are all in competition to gain leverage ahead of the others. And it's why ESPN & Fox are willing to talk about new media contracts. They want to establish long-term contracts that will throw cold water on the two groups' progress.

change. really, at this point, as long as the conference champion gets an auto, I really don't care. Football and tailgating will continue out here in flyover, and currently, the parity makes for a good regular season. Colorado now controls their destiny to get into the playoffs. Who would have called that at the beginning of the season? The stadiums are full, and the football is top notch.
The money and the playoff bids do matter, but instead of hanging our heads (excluding Utah), it appears we have embraced the change, and have moved on.

the 5 automatic bids. If the Big XII or ACC champion misses on the automatic bid, then it will be likely due to the team doing enough during the regular season to not deserve it. Now that we are living in a P2 world, it is more difficult to justify the ACC and Big XII should continue receiving special treatment (compared to their G5 bretheran) since they have basically been relegated to a de facto G status.
Heck it could happen this year if Army beats Notre Dame and remains 11-0 going into the AAC Championship Game. Army could win the game to go 12-0 and potentially leapfrog either the ACC champion or Big XII champion in the final CFP Poll. The real kicker is that Army could lose to Navy the following week and still receive an automatic bid to the FBS Playoffs because the Army-Navy Game occurred after the regular season ended. Which means the game can't count towards bowl eligibilty AND have no impact on the FBS Playoffs because the fields are finalized on the Sunday of Conference Championship Weekend.

gets leapfrogged by 3 G6 champions. That is like saying the BIG only gets their champion in, and no at large invites. It's just not going to happen.
Also, i think I stated that as long as the B12 gets their champion in, I really don't care. The at large bids are subjective, and are based on subjective criteria. Those are metrics that a school does not have any control over, so take care of business, win your conference, and let the chips fall where they may. Not a darn thing any school in the B12 can do about that for now - except win.

major changes (in their favor) to take place when it comes up for renewal in 2-3 years. The sooner the ACC and Big XII adopt a G mentality, then the sooner the Gs can come up with something that is more fair and balanced for the group while letting the P2s do their own thing.
