You let Gonzaga in for a full share when they don't participate in the sport that generates the most revenue and don't help fulfill the need for 2 more football members? Nope.

Brett McMurphy is also reporting this. Now they are looking at UNLV, Utah State, and Air Force. They might as well take the rest of the MWC at this point. Would just be Hawaii, San Jose State, New Mexico, Nevada Reno, and Wyoming left.

Air Force committed to MWC. Reportedly got incentives to stay.
You know expansion is getting loopy when Gonzaga gets football money WITHOUT A TEAM and conferences (or what's left of them) are giving up the farm for AIR FORCE.

As a Tulane fan: good. Not an upgrade, particularly with silly geography.
The best scenario for all 3 of those schools is to hope they find themselves in a new ACC.

Switching to a new conference requires at least some level of new commitment. They don't have to do that to just stay where they are.

getting a full share in the AAC. I do not think the PAC has any interest in a MW type of conference.

time slots and recruiting in Texas. UTEP, Texas State, and North Texas are still on the board. Certainly not the brands they would want to add, but the strategic location and market might be somewhere they want to expand too.
If they do not find an Eastern presence, it will just be MW 2.0. I don't see that as an advantage with the media companies moving forward.

I really did not want them in the Big 12. Also I think I saw that UTSA agreed to stay in the AAC.

My guess is either UNLV or San Jose St make the final football member in order to get to 8 teams. If those fall through then a Texas school would probably be third in line.
If they get Gonzaga, I wonder if they would also try for Saint Mary’s or other west coast bball schools.
